Lack of success ?

In recent years.

2 FA Cup Finals - Did you win them?

1 UEFA Cup semi final - Did you win it?

Premier League runners up - Did you win it?

3 Season's of Champions League football. - Did you win it?

ok, no silveware but hardly a lack of success is it ? - Of course it is. How can it be a success if you dont achieve the ultimate goal of winning it?

That like me going to work not doing my job properly and saying to my boss "I nearly did it"

Its a results business, end of.

Have you heard the Champions League theme being played at Three Points Lane lately ever ?

Who gives a fuck?

judging by that bite, you do ! B)

Not managed to get in it though have you?

No point in qualifying if your not going to win it. The game is about winning things, not qualifying for them.

So why do spurs enter the premier league every year?

Like everybody else the plan is too win it. We have been as successful as NUFC in that respect......ie we have failed.

Not really as we managed to finish 2nd twice, 3rd and 4th. But you finished 5th once so well done B)

Twice wasn't it?

I remember them fucking it up on the last day though to finish 5th when Arsenal got 4th.

5th twice actually but as I say, if you havent won it you have failed. 2nd = 1st loser. Also ran.

No one will remember that second place finish in 100 years time.

Only winners are remembered.

Correct, our team was struck down with a "stomach virus" on the last day. The guy who made the decision not to allow us to delay (who was a guest at the Emirates at the time) has just been appointed to the Arsenal board.

Who says there is no such thing as corruption in the English game.

I can't name who finished first 100 years ago, never mind second, so that's a bit of a daft statement.

But if anything was to be remembered from 95/95 it would be NUFC finishing second, would it not?

And second is "1st loser" is it? You'd cream yourself if you'd finished 2nd twice.

Bitter, bitter boy.

Id imagine that the decision to allow us into this group was based on the uefa co-efficient ratings.

And thats especially pleasing as even though the toon have been shite for a couple of seasons now, the rating was STILL higher than spurs' rating. B)

you're right, nobody remember us throwing away a 12 point lead.

I mean christ, that would be embarrassing if that appeared every season on some football show... Just like us being beaten by Hereford. You're right Danny, no one remembers the people who lose.

Ya fucking idiot B)

The point is the honour remains with the club always.

Its clubs like West Ham who puts runners up in their honours list. Finishing second is no honour. Its failure.

Do you not find it a tad embarrassing to have to quote another teams success?
