lol no matter who is back from injury for the start of the season

we are fucked...

:D

Aye, Smith is just as useful as Owen, Martins or Viduka.

yeah martins and owen will make a real difference when our midfield cannot pass or cross

if you haven't been watching this match or the previous two quiet down tbh

theres alot more wrong with the team than just smith being shite

IMO it's a bit kneejerk crying about performance in a preseason friendly, when training sessions are focused on building up fitness. I'm not saying that everything is perfect because I also think we badly need a creative midfielder, but don't get carried away.

tbh owen in our team makes a massive difference. If it wasnt for him playing in his new deeper role at the end of last season we would have probably been relegated

Mostly that we've no one up front creating space or even wanting the ball, something that would be rectified by having Owen, Martins and Viduka back.

I have been watching this one and the previous 2. They're pre-season friendlies for players to get fit and find their feet again.

Are you trying to say we're relegation on the basis of these public training sessions?

yep its going off, even Im finding it frustrating.

My Sunday league team threads together more passes than your lot.

If we're fielding this team in the league, maybe we'll be calling up your sunday league team for some loan signings. :D

How many times tonight have we heard the name 'Smith' followed by 'with a poor first touch'? I'm starting to feel embarassed for him.

He couldn't trap a bag of cement.

When he plays up-front, he looks like a midfielder playing up-front. When he plays in midfield, he looks like a striker playing in midfield.

This leads me to conclude that he is, in fact, just utterly gash.

90min first shot on target??

Just imagine if Owen, Viduka and Martins are all injured at the same time. :D:razz:

The thing is if Barton does get a long ban and Butt picks up his usual suspensions, then that team with the probable injuries you mention isn't that far away from being the first 11.

I hope they wake up to that and get some players in.
