The Magpie's 'nest'.

The upstairs flat was the 'boardroom' for a meeting in May 1892 between the directors of Newcastle East End and the recently folded Newcastle West End where the decision was made for East End to move to West End's ground at St James' Park with the idea of attracting West End's fan base too. Essentially the birth place of the club we know today.

Now just a knocking shop or a students flat if it's off chillie road? :good:

Reminds me of a memory:

My first foray onto internet forums was a Green Bay Packers forum in the late 90's, on this forum there was a downtrodden black guy (Tyrone Weaver - never forgotten) who gave the whitey's all sorts of shit at the merest hint (or sometimes not even that) of something that could remotely be construed as a detrimental comment to black folks. He was a fucking legend tbh. This went on for years.

Anyway, couple of years into the forum we went to the US to visit family in Wisconsin and went up to Green Bay to watch practice (pre-season/late summer) and attend a forum get together, everyone had name badges, Tyrone was there and fuck me, the cunt was a well to do real estate agent and whiter than me !!!!!

Did he find god, become a preacher to the homeless, insist on being addressed as Reverend whilst turning the fire and brimstone up to 11 like Tyrone (the Rev) did ??

Christ, he was fucking wonderful poster, the big reveal just made it more hilarious.

Aye I once bumped into an ex pro from QPR (I think) in Helsinki back in the early 90s, he said the old Leazes end was the most frightening sight he'd ever walked out onto a pitch to see.

Said it was like looking into the mouth of hell.

It’s somewhere between 1988 and 1993. Shame you can’t see the east stand paddock as you’d be able to narrow it down a bit - they changed the benches for black and white seats in the summer of 1991.
