Surprise Surprise no geordies in the final 32 X Factor. Scouser Rebecca Ferguson is third fav 5/1 to win. So what does the geordie race do? You's cant sing and cant play football. The stars of Liverpool pay tax to keep your talentless city alive. Come on Newcastle produce some stars its getting fucking boring now.

X FACTOR mum Rebecca Ferguson sang her heart out for a place at judge Cheryl Cole’s house.

Rebecca, from Anfield, was among the final few lucky enough to stay in the TV competition as the live shows move closer.

St Helens-based girl band Husstle were also chosen to progress to the next stage at the end of last night’s programme.

Thousands of singers had auditioned, but those remaining faced one more performance at “boot camp” before they learned their fate.

Just eight successful acts made it into each of the four categories.

When single mum Rebecca took to the stage, the judges made a unanimous decision about her future in the competition.

The shy 24-year-old admitted to struggling with nerves and self belief before singing Corinne Bailey Rae’s Just Like A Star.

Viewers watched as Simon Cowell automatically saw her potential and said: “That is a recording voice.”

Guest judge and Pussy Cat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger said: “I told you when we saw her first - she’s our generation’s song bird.”

Louis Walsh was also hugely impressed, saying: “She’s blossomed. She’s changed.”
