Does anyone have any idea how much its cost to have Kinnear as DoF because I cant think of anything he has done for the club that would justify his wages.

Think of all the money he has saved us buy not buying anyone. Worth every penny.

He's done sweet fuck all which was all he was ever intended to do. Pulled the plug on a perfectly good free transfer, recruited a bottleless mercenary who was practically already our player last January until he followed the money, and has even had time for a vacation. Not bad for six months' sitting around on his fat alkie arse.

The fish stinks from the head, though. If Ashley wanted us to make signings, we'd be making them. Hiring JFK was pretty much a statement of intent - or lack thereof.

The only aim is strict midtable mediocrity. Finish too low and we could be relegated; finish too high and we could qualify for the Europa League, which just brings us more unnecessary cup games that we might need reinforcements for. Domestic cups are the same - distractions that congest our schedule and make injuries (which then require cover signings, and thus $$$) more likely.

I am confident that with the squad, manager, and owner we have that we can accomplish this aim.

Same question to you. When was the last time we had a better squad?

Yeah but that's got nothing to do with Kinnear. We could have signed Remy without him and arguably could have signed him on a much better deal (£2-3mill buyout) than we did.

This squad was built by Carr and trained to the level it is by Pardew. If Kinnear actually signs someone - not someone previously lined up to buy - then we can start reviewing this. Someone already posted that he said 'judge me by my actions' and all he's done is embarrass the club to the point where, I'm quite certain, he was literally told the pipe the fuck down.

Signed on loan, let's not be Perdantic ;)

Loaned, borrowed its all the same but we haven't signed him and we're unlikely to given his 15-16 million price tag.

That's not an actual tag just harry jumping up and down and shouting.

Fair enough but there's always the chance QPR will use him themselves if they get back in the premiership I cant see him playing for us next season either way.

It is looking more likely he wont be here never mind where QPR are. The only thing that could swing it is if we have first option on him but not sure how that would pan out contractually.

Thing is, nobody's knows what's gone on behind the scenes with Kinnear. However Ashley has manoeuvred us to this position where we have the best squad for years and a team that can compete virtually with the best on any given day.

Who knows what difference Kinnear has made behind the scenes. We seem to have a very happy camp amongst management and players and Pardews decision making seems to have improved dramatically this season ( being prepared to leave so called first teamers out). Who's to say Kinnear hasn't influenced this sea change?

Maybe we should simply appreciate the slow solid foundations being put in place rather than continually bitching ;)

The foundations are Pardew and Carr IMO.

Kinnear tried to sign shane ferguson and had a photo with remy.

It's Ashley though that is responsible for those two foundations and he felt JFK was the missing piece of the puzzle. Maybe he will be right again???
