Taking your hatred of Liverpool fans a tad too far perhaps. I mean I think you can acknowledge the state of the legal system whilst recognising it’s not particularly relevant here. And the coverage has been quite lopsided in relation to the perpetrator. And I think what he did was indefensible and I wouldn’t mind seeing the results of his tests for drug and drink driving.

so just out of curiosity what would you do than if you were in your car alone, at a standstill and surrounded by shit loads of people booting it and trying to get the doors open.

wind the window down and try to reason with them?

Aye, especially after you had deliberately driven into a pedestrian area and were coked off your tits.

was it a pedestrian area?

I thought the road was closed for the parade, which at that point has passed by some time ago?

the way I saw it reported the side street was closed and then the sign removed and ambulance allowed out it and he followed it, which isn't unreasonable. he then stopped?

ive no idea if he was coked off his tits.

The area was still clearly pedestrainised and he knowingly followed an ambulance through the lifted barrier. It was reported at the time he was under the influence of drugs.

This wasn't some unlucky fella who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was an entitled wanker deciding to drive wherever the fuck he wanted.

ah, i see. all that simple.

we have a justice system in this country, and despite the fact that it's undoubtedly flawed, it's there for a reason, primarily to stop people jumping to conclusions and forming a lynch mob.

a situation escalated out of control once a bunch of skinny tracksiuted scallies started attacking a car which was at a standstill.

I have literally no idea how idea how many drugs he had, what kind they were and how entitled he felt.

and neither have you.

No but let's give him the benefit of the doubt for absolutely no reason.

It has fuck all to do with what city he was in. The crowd would have had the exact same reaction had it happened in Newcastle or any other city in England.

he was literally metres away from the side street he'd pulled out of man and was STOPPED when his car was being attacked. which bit of that are you struggling with?

oh and it's called innocent until proven guilty.

it's not a bad principle.

Can we all just calm down and accept that he and the others are all just innocent victims in all of this.

Not defending or excusing the bloke, but if I remember rightly his car was surrounded by an angry Scouse mob, before he floored it, aye?

Again, neither defending or excusing him, but I remember from doing my Bronze lifesaver swimming badge that people often panic when they think they’re drowning.

Someone hit his car a kick as he was driving through the crowd, he then went into reverse to try to hit the fella who kicked his car and then decided to speed through the crowd injuring 79 people. But aye, it was the crowd's fault for being in his way.

There's no defending Doyle or giving him the benefit of the doubt. Irrespective of any mitigation being put forward, he made a conscious decision to use a motor vehicle as a weapon. He's as guilty as fuck.

they were kicking, punching and smashing the windows of a car which was very much initially stationary.

he drove away down the middle of the road, the speed didn't look particularly excessive, I'm sure his car was capable of going faster, but I don't know.

the first person he strikes he hits with the front nearside of his vehicle. I don't know why this person walks out in front of him like that, probably off his tits on coke?

when he strikes that person he veers to the right, which I'd guess you would to avoid going over them. by veering to the right he goes in to the crowd. he stops very quickly thereafter.

that's my perception of events from the dozens of videos ive seen. I could he wrong, I don't know.

what i could have a pretty reasonable guess at is that if he was intent on causing carnage then he could've done an infinitely better job, which in my opinion casts some doubt as to whether it was his intent at all.

"but, but, but .... some of them kicked the fuck out of my car ... so I was within rights to drive straight through a crowd further down then road!"

Bullshit.

Well...

you find yourself sat in your stationary car surrounded by a baying mob intent on smashing it up and pulling you out of it, do you,

a) put your head in your hands and sob uncontrollably.

b) get out the car, admit the car was acting unreasonably and help the crowd smash it up.

c) think things could esculate whereby you're in grave danger, panic and drive away.

He didn't find himself there though, did he? He put himself there. I am driving my car up a side street, the main road I'm looking to join is filled with a large crowd of football fans walking on the road, do I;

a) put my head in my hands and sob uncontrollably or,

b) turn the car around and go a different route, or wait if there isn't one or,

c) drive into the crowded street, wipe some disco dust from my nose and get ready for some Carmageddon
