Craig 12322
The Tories jumping on this and saying it's a demonstrable of what the BBC are outlines just how much they're sucking Trump's pipe BTW.
Gemmill 62979
Aye all of the self styled patriots cheering on the US President to sue an organisation that's funded by the British public. They can all fuck off even more today than they could yesterday.

Renton 27739
Well if you watch traitors you'd know that's what any traitor would say. But anyeay, perfectly normal now also for a top positioned cabinet minister to draw metaphors with a game show on the day it is confirmed thousands of jobs are being axed from NHS England. How many of you Greenies would stick with labour if Burnham were in charge?

Cameron likes to spin that the quashing of the 1st Hillsborough inquests was on him, but Burnham started that when he gave that speech at Anfield on the 20th anniversary. He'd have been the perfect candidate to take over in 2015, but we had Corbyn-mania.
PaddockLad 22422
Burnham is a slightly more competent Starmer. I do like him but he he'll change fuck all of any significance and with the opposition to Labour across the board at record levels via social and mainstream media he is likely to think "fuck that" and stay in Mancyland till after the next election at least... Gemmill 62979
Streeting 100% fancies it, I reckon. He's been critical of some of Starmer's ideas in cabinet and has made sure that criticism has been reported. Also, they wouldn't be shitting themselves about Streeting if he wasn't up to something. Rayvin 8295
Whether or not Burnham could win me over would depend on his policies. I do like him more than Starmer, but that's not enough on its own.

I think if Starmer was to announce he was stepping down, Streeting would be one of the first to put his name forward. He definitely sees himself as the natural successor. Being Brutus to Julius Caesar? Nope, can't see it.
Gemmill 62979
Ok well you should let number 10 know cos they're fucking shitting themselves about him. I'm sure they'd be delighted to hear your confident assertions.
Craig 12322
Someone is clearly gobbing off in number 10 like. But seriously, can you see him stabbing Starmer in the back? I can see Rayner doing it.

All this compromise and taking one for the team just to be given this shit.
ewerk 39128
The PLP is entirely devoid of anyone with a semblance of personality. Burnham is the only one who I think could turn the public’s opinion, only helped by the fact that he’s outside Westminster. I’m not sure if it’s possible to make him leader prior to getting a WM seat?
Gemmill 62979
Don't think so, cos making him leader would make him PM.

Aye, it was more a question of whether he could be PM but not sit in the HoC. Turns out he can (see Douglas-Home) but would need to get a seat sharpish. Gemmill 62979
On the assumption Starmer can intervene and prevent him being a candidate, I don't know how he gets a seat at all unless he becomes leader first.
