I didn't see it but np man.. I do want to be clear that it's really the media I have an issue with, there's nothing else in it for me.

And maybe that does blind me to things tbh. The reason I argue with you guys in here isn't to "win", it's to better inform myself.

Oh good, I’ll continue to keep you informed with more evidence of  antisemitism within the Labour Party then. I’m not in this to win an argument either. The evidence is there for all to see.

I get worked about it because it troubles me. A lot. As you know. The media are guilty of a lot of things but this narrative hasn’t been constructed out of thin air. It’s always existed on the militant far left fringes and regrettably it’s been allowed to flourish under Corbyn’s watch. It’s as big a failing as his lack of leadership on Brexit. We shouldn’t be talking about it, I agree with you there. It’s Corbyn’s duty as leader to end it. Not the media’s.

I saw red mist in the earlier post because I thought you said you thought Israel didn’t have a right to exist when in fact you said the opposite.

You realise I don't have an issue with you posting this stuff right? It's not like I've asked you to stop.

Its useful for me to get establishment opinions anyway at the end of the day, it's not like they're always wrong. And i agree about Corbyn.

And yeah i figured that might have been the issue, Israel's right to exist. I doubled negatived that sentence so my bad I guess.

 That’s the best veiled dig I’ve seen on here in a while, calling Gloom, ‘the establishment’.

Er, hello. I’m mainstream media Jew. I’m as establishment as they come in Rayvin’s eyes.

I even grew up in Washington (sadly the Tyne & Wear washy, not DC). So we might have more in common than he thinks - I went to a shit state school and was raised by idealistic, socialist parents who used to drag me to CND, stop the war and anti-Nazi league rallies as a young boy. They even took me to the fucking woodcraft folk.

I didn't say we didn't have anything in common. I also, technically, didn't say you were establishment. I just insinuated you tended to post establishment views :cuppa:

A lot of people get very precious about identity when they get into arguments but I'm not one of them. All I care about is your fucking views

You were the one who started throwing labels around.

I guess you could say calling out antisemitism is an establishment view. Hopefully that remains the case. Like all forms of racism it needs to be shut down.

Maybe you could explain why my views are establishment. I voted for the Corbyn in the last election, so I’m about as establishment as CT.

I believe I’ve been throwing labels at @Rayvin way before Corbyn was an entity.

You tend to post articles from the MSM, and in general you are uncritical about them. That is all.

And for the last time, calling out antisemitism isn't an establishment position per se because i dont actually think the establishment gives a shit about it. I think it is useful for one specific reason which I have already articulated.

Like all forms of racism it does indeed need to be shut down. Unlike all other forms of racism, it is only this variant, and only within the Labour party, that the press is continuously interested.

I still feel like we're talking past each other here. Did you ever answer my earlier question? Do you think this is the second most important issue facing the country? Because that's the level of coverage it's getting.

I think you decided i was a Nazi cunt some time after that tbh. I assume you now consider yourself wrong about that but who knows in this day and age.

I can’t remember why tbh. That’s old age for you. Of course your views on jewish rights in the Labour Party is totally showing me the error of my ways. 😂

i did answer that, yes. so we are clearly are talking past each other.

i said i disagree. the other things you mentioned, knife crime, austerity etc, get loads of coverage too. and, as i explained, i think people are critical of media bias in this case because they don't want to accept it's a problem - they're amazed it's such a big story because it doesn't affect them day to day, or it doesn't square with their experience of the labour party. so they reject it, blame the media for constructing the narrative, or demand to see even more evidence before accepting it's worthy of more column inches.

once again, it is a big story because his reluctance to act implicates the leader of the opposition. the anti-corbyn press are naturally all over it. but it's a big story for all media outlets of all political stripes.

Look at that meddlesome MSM again, going and opening an investigation into Labour.

establishment media, so we can discount that as evidence.

Stephane Savary, who stood as a council candidate in Altrincham in Trafford last year, said he was pleased at the outcome. “We definitely want to fight to get the antisemites out of the party,” he said.

Last year, a Labour member made a 50-minute antisemitic video about him, calling him a “fucking Jew”. He said he reported the video to the Labour party nine times but the party refused to accept the antisemite was a party member until a police investigation proved it.

But Rayvin still wants evidence.

Ok.

1 - KCG, you called me a Nazi because I criticised SJWs. I continue to do this so therefore I must remain a Nazi to you. Hope this helps.

2 - Gloom, you don't believe this story gets more coverage than anything else. I'm incredulous at that claim but this is your industry so if that's your position then fine. Looking at it based on perspective though, given that my view is that it does get more coverage than literally every other issue save Brexit, can you see why I have my suspicions about the underlying motive?

3 - an investigation into the issue sounds like a good thing to me, and the outcome of the investigation would indeed be newsworthy.

4 - ewerk, that particular point was previously unknown to me. Fucking clearly that is antisemitic and should have been dealt with. That is what actual evidence looks like, incidentally. Well done.
