The state of that pitch.

Only caught the last fifteen minutes and NI looked like they had their chances.

Chances or chance? Didn't watch the game but the NI I know are a team well organised but hope the only chance they may get they can convert. Would have been nice to see them in but a bridge too far.

TBF as you'd expect they left themselves open at the back and Switzerland could have had a bagful too.

I'd imagine Switzerland were cruising it playing into their hands. Don't have players that can create or threaten and score, NI. Has always been and will always be. Good effort to have played a match to get to the WC though. You should be proud.

No, they weren't cruising at all.

And of course NI have never had any players who can create or score.

Though George Best wasn't bad. And David Healy was the top scorer in Euro qualifying. And they qualified for Euro 2016 as the top scorers in their group. And were second highest scorers this time round. But apart from that, you make a good point.

And I'm not sure why you think I should be proud, they aren't my team.

I thought you were from Belfast.

I don't know anyone who isn't named Paddy, my wife included.

 I was pleased when his lass introduced him as I'm shit with names and I thought even I'd be able to remember that

So then, Paddy, my original commiserative comments stand.

If he'd been from Belfast then yes, because everyone from there supports Northern Ireland.

It's a bit too complex for your sun/shiraz damaged mind to process.

Complex or just too too ridiculous of a reason. Perhaps a combination? :D

Go on, I won't ridicule.
