If they did they’d get on to the government about it, their local MP….or our six fingered friends would protest at the BAE factory in Sunderland who’s weapons blow up Yemenis. But they don’t. Because it’s about sports & that’s the level at which people engage & that’s the level at which most journalists are stuck. Phil Mickleson May get stuck answering questions about Saudi atrocities, but that’s no different to Ollie Holt refusing to answer questions about his all expenses trip to the boxing or Delaney sodding off to Qatar. They believe there’s some kind of intrinsic exceptionalism because of their job but there’s not.
