Other games 2019/2020

Aye, but if you’re a fraction offside along with your entire body I’m not sure anyone would mind. Currently your entire body can be onside apart from your armpit hair and goals are being ruled out weekly.

The law was brought in to stop strikers having an unfair advantage. Defenders manipulated the law with the offside trap. It makes sense to swing it back in favour of the strikers. It’s supposed to be entertainment. The more goals the better

I’ve cracked it.

Draw a line across the pitch 30 yards from goal. You can only be offside between the goal line and the 30 yard line if the ball has been kicked from the other half of the field.Brill idea that.

But how much of your body must be in that 30 yard area?

During the Burnley v Bournemouth game VAR were checking out a hand ball and Bournemouth went up the other end and scored.VAR decided it was a hand ball and the Bournemouth goal didn’t stand. What would have happened if a player had lamped the ref and a red card had been shown while VAR was deciding whether an offence had taken place then decided yes, there had been.

He’d have been sent off

It still would have been a yellow card. Time doesn't move into a different dimension where incidents that happened have no longer happened after play gets pulled back 30 seconds.

Bournemouth scored within the time it took VAR to check the earlier hand ball. Are only yellow and red cards ‘ carried over’ so to speak?
