toonotl 4657
Needs to be dropped. Another 1-0 lead away from home utterly torched by terrible defending.
thebrokendoll 14199
every time you see that first goal it just looks worse and worse. appalling decision making. it happens time snd time again. the fucking useless cunt.
Daftarse 72
As good as Nick Pope (and Dan Burn) have been since joining the club, Eddies persistence with playing them regularly will cost him his job. He's doing the same "playing his favourites shit" as what he did when it cost him his job at Bournemouth
Gemmill 62983
He played Burn cos Hall is only just back from injury - he said himself in the press conference that he would have to take the advice of the medical staff on Hall and Tino. Eddie Howe isn't a fucking idiot, he can see how limited Burn is at left back, what it's costing us, and how much better we are with Hall playing.

I don't tend to seek out the opinions of vloggers or podcasters or whatever the fuck they're called. im happy enough on the whole forming my own opinion, talking to me mates and reading what gets said on here. nowt much wrong with owt on there though. thebrokendoll 14199
memory is past its best i may have forgotten one or two, apologies to them if i have but... iam mcfaul mick mahoney kevin carr pavel srnicek steve harper shay given tim krul all better keepers than pope id also chuck dubravka in there who did a top job for several years. also, if we're gonna make allowances for the odd rush of blood to the head, then burridge was a better keeper than pope too. Craig 12325
McFaul, Mahoney & Carr were before my time. I've already said elsewhere that I think Pope's decision-making is on par with Srnicek. Agree with you about Given, Harper & Krul. I'd probably stick Tommy Wright in there as well.
Rosco 1127
If Howe doesn’t replace him next game and persists playing him it ain’t going to end well for Pope. I’ve seen a few players over the decades who’ve been the manager’s favourite but dropping constant clangers and it normally results in the player getting absolutely destroyed by the fans
NobbySol 399
It also sends a pretty poor message to Ramsdale. Said countless times he was brought in to challenge and elevate Pope. He has an opportunity here to give Ramsdale a run for the next 3 games before we have a cup game, which Pope could conceivably come back in for, should he so choose. I genuinely see a situation where we sign Trafford in the summer and both Pope and Ramsdale go.

Craig 12325
It's comparing apples and pears somewhat. The qualities required of a goalkeeper these days are quite different from 30 years ago. A keeper these days is expected to be the deepest lying player who happens to be allowed to use his hands if he's in the penalty area. Back in the 90s they were expected to use their feet only for goal kicks, drop kicks and booting the thing as hard as they fucking could any if it ended up with one of our own players, bonus! Pope's style is far more aligned to that style of play. Conversely, the idea of John fucking Burridge trying to play with the ball at his feet is utterly terrifying
