Saw an interesting thought on Bluesky.

Did Mitchell jump because of what he saw?

He jumped before he was sacked. It was so painfully obvious. He came in, called everything shit and instead of getting the wet wipes he dropped his drawers and curled out a belter on top of the pile.

He's the reason we might lose Isak. The one player the Saudis were adamant we couldn't lose.

He's also the reason we didn't sign Trafford for £20m last Summer

Yeah agree with the two posts above - the damage Mitchell has done is significant.

I'm struggling to understand what we've had in return for his salary.

We miss being run by Staveley & Ghodoussi. At the time they left I thought things would be OK and that they'd established the framework we needed to push on to where we want to. Bottom line, they genuinely cared. The people who've come in since them (Eales, Mitchell) have demonstrably only cared about filling their wallets.

As part owners they seemed to have more free rein to make decisions and push the boat out a bit. As employees it looks like Eales and Mitchell can't do the same. Of course that's what landed us in last season's PSR debacle but even now it looks like those at the top are being too cautious.

Eales comes across as a bit of a weapon but maybe that's part of the job? Ultimately the likes of him and Mitchell, had he stayed, would have to justify their jobs you'd have thought? Penfold could justify his as he was working to Ashley's blue print, it'll be interesting what the Saudi's blue print is and what they think of the job the likes of Silverstone etc are doing?

Easy for you to say. Glad they’ve clarified we’ll be calling him Suds.

Is he going to work out how we can lose out on transfer targets at a quicker rate?

It’s all about the churn. This cunt would have had us getting knocked back by John Stones a week after Palace moved the goalposts the first time.
