Gemmill 63297
I'm a bit confused by all the rage on here. We're not losing the Alexander Isak that was banging the goals in and we all loved. We're losing a piece of shit who has made it very clear he doesn't give a fuck about NUFC. The fans are chanting that he's a cunt at games. You can't keep that player here. If we kept him, we'd get less than this in the next window cos he clearly wasn't gonna play again for the club - he could and probably would state fears about his safety and all sorts, which would have been even more disingenuous and disgusting than what he's done so far. The only disappointment here for me is the price, but honestly I think £130m is not a million miles off being right. One of the biggest mistakes the club has made this summer is quoting £150m. That wasn't a figure they were ever gonna receive from ANYWHERE which meant that if he ever did get sold we were going to look like we capitulated on price, when really we haven't, we've just sold him for around about the number that looks sensible. It's raw and shit that it's come to this, but we need to move on as a club from this fucking rat. I've never said this and meant it about a player, but I hope this lad's career falls apart with catastrophic injuries from here on out. Rayvin 8367
57 minutes ago, Kitman said: Isn't the PSR profit more like $62m? i.e 125m transfer fee less 42m book value 15m loyalty bonus 6m real sociedad profit share If my maths is correct we've pretty much doubled the original fee we paid to real sociedad Was going off this from reddit which seemed fair enough: There are two transfer fees going around for Isak, one £130M and the other £125M. If you don't care to read further, TLDR: Newcastle make £98.1M in PSR headway if the real fee is £130M and £93.6M if the real fee is £125M. Detailed Breakdown: Alexander Isak was purchased for £63M and a 10% of future profit clause. He was signed on a 6-year contract, amortized over 5 years. This can be calculated by dividing £63M by 5. £63M / 5 = £12.6M Isak played for this club for 3 complete seasons. Which means, those 3 seasons worth of PSR can wiped off the books. £63M - (£12.6M * 3) =£25.2M. This £25.2M is an amount that we will not be getting back. There's 2 reported fees £130M or £125M. Regardless if the fee is £130M or £125M, we have to deduct the £25.2M. However, we can't forget Real Sociedad's 10% profit clause. £130M fee - £63M = £67M profit * 0.1 = £6.7M £120M fee - £63M = £62M profit * 0.1 = £6.2M Now, we can calculate the final number, in terms of PSR headway made. £130M - £25.2M = £104.8M - £6.7M = £98.1M or £125M -£25.2M = £99.8M - £6.2M = £93.6M
Gemmill 63297
That looks about right. Whether loyalty bonuses and stuff get knocked off, I don't know, and it's irrelevant anyway cos we don't know if he's getting them. I'll be pleased to see the back of the cunt. I'd be much happier if it was announced at the same time as an incoming, but hopefully we can pull a rabbit out of the hat today.
Ayatollah Hermione 17238
I’m canny disappointed we’ve flogged him tbh and gave Liverpool what they want after acting like complete fucking cunts but I assume Howe just wants him gone. And I’d HOPE that they already have a striker ready to come in otherwise it’s a shambolic move
trophyshy 9005
Read somewhere (Athletic I think) that he did, in the end, put a transfer request in. Which allowed the price to come down? Edited September 1 by trophyshy

Is Jackson not available now? Chelsea have recalled some other cunt and Bayern are looking elsewhere. If we can get Jackson in on loan without an obligation, I'd take that. Holden McGroin 9910
A loan is looking likely now. To source a new target, agree fee & structure of a deal and get a medical done in ~12 hours is pretty ambitious.

Ayatollah Hermione 17238
I’d say Muani on loan is a good option but you’re asking two lads unknown to the league to hit the ground running. At least Isak had Wilson to share the responsibility with when he first came in. That’s why I’d hope we can get Larsen out of Wolves but if not, you’re probably looking at a stopgap PL striker for a year or so. Who that is, I have no idea
Gemmill 63297
If Isak had done none of the shocking shit he's done this summer, and we sold him just cos Liverpool came in for him, I think we could be accused of spreading our cheeks. As it stands, we've just done the pragmatic thing and maximised the sale value for a lad who probably would never have turned out for us again. If we don't sell him today and he continues to refuse to play until January, you can probably knock £30-40m off the sale price, which really would have been a disaster. Well, let’s see how Brentford do as it looks like they are going to keep an unhappy Wissa. Theyve basically stood firm and we’ve caved.
Ayatollah Hermione 17238
I disagree we’ve maximised the sale price like. It’s £25m less than that stated for sale price. I was expecting £130m with add-ons at a bare minimum and we’ve even buckled on that. If it’s £125m up front, I can just about stomach it but we’ve probably let them dictate to us on that too.

And I've already said that's the biggest mistake the club has made this summer was allowing that figure to be quoted. We were NEVER getting that number from anywhere.

It’s not though. Wissa is valuable to them staying in the PL and they have decided he is under contract and will stay to achieve this. Whether it works out is another matter. Obviously, Howe and the players just want shot of the cunt and I support that but the idea Liverpool are getting him for a hair more than Wirtz is unbelievable.
Chaser 1919
This whole saga sets an ugly precedent if he didn't hand a transfer request in. Not just for us, but for any other team which isnt at the top table.
