The midfield aren’t tracking back. The players arent in the right positions. That’s 💯 fitness.

They're pushing too high because they're trying to force things in attack, the result is they're out of position so it looks like they're not tracking back. Longstaff has looked off since his return and we've really missed Joelinton and Willock who bring energy in both attack and defense. Longstaff and Miley currently to me are connecting players, they need the foundation of Bruno and the legs of Joelinton/Willock. Miley looks to have a bit of pace but Longstaff and Bruno don't, so if they're pushing too high (as they have been here) then they don't have the speed to get nack regardless of conditioning and fatigue.

We also really need an actual defensive midfielder, currently have three players trying to play the 8 every game and no one truly sitting and anchoring.

I think in hindsight not signing a specialist DM was the biggest mistake of the summer transfer window.

Absolutely rotten performance from Bruno as well, truly diabolical. Spent more time on the floor than with the ball.

Part of the blame has to go to Howe for this loss. Burn against Elanga was never going to work. Tino hasn't put a foot wrong since he's been in the side - why was he dropped for a limited CB playing out of position? Especially against a pace merchant like Elanga? He should've been hooked at halftime. Actually, he should never have started.

The novelty of Burn and Miggy from last season has worn off. We might have to wait a bit for Miggy's replacement but Tino needs to be starting everytime.

Trippier, Almiron and Gordon all have gone horribly out of form at the same time. Longstaff and Burn have looked off the pace since their return. Problem is that for many Howe hasn't had any/many options. Today though Burn categorically should not have started. If Joelinton was fit enough to come on then he should have started rather than Longstaff. Today there are legitimate questions to be asked about both team selection and positional discipline for those who played. We showed a lack of intelligence and fortitude out there which is very worrying.

I'm happy for Chris Wood, but we were diabolically poor.

Absolute rubbish. As some of us said, write this season off.

You’re writing this season off before a transfer window for the world’s wealthiest club?

I know it’s frustrating, I know in defeat some comments are rash and knee jerky but after reading your constant negativity every time there’s as much as a misplaced pass I’ve got to put you out of your misery mate and tell you to stop talking fuckin bollocks 😀
