The idea would be to finish the construction of a new stadium within six to seven years, which could mean Newcastle move into it at the start of the 2031-32 season.

take your time lads, no rush

I was already annoyed that my NUFC-loving uncle in Sweden died just before the takeover and us buying a brilliant Swedish player. Now I'm concerned that I might die before the stadium is ready.

Just get a prefab stadium and a crane - knock the whole thing up in a few hours.

Maybe the club could offer free hot dogs in burger buns and get the fans in to fit the new seats for them - it worked out for our webbed toed neighbours.

Fucking hell lads, it's only 6-7 years - not 67. I am sure we'll all be around to witness TBD never get a ticket.

best of both worlds, using the spurs model. it's more or less still SJP, so less traumatic for the traditionalists while still giving us a brand new superstadium that will provide the extra seats required.

presumably there will come a point during the rebuild when we have to play with a massively reduced capacity while they knock down parts of the leazes end. not sure what that means for existing ST holders.

Where  are they proposing we play for a season when the Leazes gets swallowed up? We don’t have a world class ground 6 miles away as Spurs did :cuppa:

Wasn't there some suggestion that the SoL might be considered? Ground will never have been so full. And they were famously hospitable about it last time, we could probably redo the whole place in black and white.

Expand Gateshead stadium to 30k. Maybe some temporary stands. Saudis could afford it and add some branding too. ST holders to get dibs on alternate matches and a promise of a seat at Leazes Park stadium.

I've said it before but if they built this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lena-Arena - for three matches because of Eurovision , there's got to be things we can reasonably do too.

The Saudi's can build stadiums in 6 weeks with minimal casualties from foreign labour. They just need to petition the UK government to relax the health and safety regulations around the build.
