Nah as we mentioned the other day, no one appears to be paying attention to UEFA FFP cos they don't boot you out of the competition and you don't get points deductions. You pay a fine. 

 

Chelsea and Villa are both in breach by the sound of it and Chelsea are just in discussions with UEFA about how much it'll cos them. We'll do the same I would guess.

If the fines aren’t commensurate with what a club earns from the uefa competition that the club has effectively cheated to compete in then they’re pretty fuckin pointless tbh

That para might as well have been written by Edwards, everything is possible, we know. I get though that there's no way for him to know exactly from the outside.

 

At best we're in the clear but it barely sounds like the big summer everyone is expecting from that. Let's see, sounds like Champions League is massively important and without it we'll probably have to sell before buying.

I think it's pretty clear that CL is pivotal to our summer spending. I think we'll spend with or without but it'll look very different if we qualify. 

 

That article is about who is/isn't in PSR trouble. It's not about who's going to have a big summer of spending. It's predisposed to have a slightly negative framing.

Incredible that after nearly two years of negative spend coupled with massive revenue growth we're barely keeping our heads above the water.
