Palace looked really good against Villa in the cup, so I am hopeful they can get something tonight.

It'll be just our luck for them to put out the bairns to avoid injury for the cup final.

Would hope they don't, their form has been pretty poor (LLDD), you'd hope they'll be trying to generate some momentum towards the final.

Probably worth having a moratorium on predictions at this point ;)

That's such a predictable response.

looking very dated now the content in the original post.

a valued board member would've corrected that immediately.

Think he saw this from his lord and master then just added some figures for shits and giggles then posted it all on here in some sort of weird one upmanship/imaginary punching down excercise. Strange cat :cuppa:

This is some great "Origins of 'The Run-in' Thread" lore. The kind of deep investigative analysis this thread is crying out for tbh. Personally, I'd be interested to see "Paul", as the third most significant contributor to this discussion that we know of so far, elaborate on his views.

Forest have got Leicester next then West Ham. That’s going to guarantee them 4 points (most likely 6).

We have two really tough games.  I’d snap your hands off for a win v Chelsea and defeat at Arsenal right now.

TBH I think all 3 games are tough.  Don't let Everton fool you.  Thankfully we are at SJP, but Moyes has them difficult to beat.

And the mackem chav won't allow them to be anywhere near the beach v us. That and the Everton Gemmill hex, or hexG if you prefer.

Are we all forgetting that Pickford completely loses his head at SJP? Didn't he get dropped for one of their visits in the last 5 years cos it all gets too much for him?

Pessimists are rarely disappointed.

As I said earlier though I would quite like a Europa league adventure so I’m satisfied with whatever happens from now on in.

The issue we have is that ending up in the Europa League may result in losing key players. If by adventure you mean we stand a better chance of winning it, yep we do ... with the squad we currently have, but if dropping into that competition means Isak is on his way? No thanks...

It would be good for the development of our younger players like Miley, Osula and that kid with the terrible haircut.

we need six points, I think, to confirm CL with one of the wins coming against Chelsea

agreed but we’re not selling Isak unless he agitates for a move and in that eventuality we get £150m to rebuild this summer with the sort of free spending we haven’t seen since the early days of the takeover. I don’t want to lose Isak either and I expect us to get over the line for CL but either way, the future looks bright
