Early reports suggest it’s his medial ligament, which can be a few months out if it’s a bad tear but not quite as devastating as an ACL, which is usually 7-9 months plus

They way he spoke about it and looked gave me the impression that it’s looking pretty bad.

So sad for the Young’un if he’s done it again.

If that's what you look for you'll find it, if you don't look for it, you won't.

I suspect Eddie doesn't really know yet, obviously it's not good because the lad went off on a stretcher but just how bad (or not) it is, we don't know yet.

It was a very dirty tackle. Comparable in my eyes to a forceful studs up tackle in terms of the risk to the player. If it isn't a genuine attempt to win the ball, which this certainly wasn't, it should be looked upon as dangerous, unsportsmanlike play.

Attacking a player when they're in the air has been outlawed in rugby league and union for over a decade for this exact reason. It's even a rule in basketball to avoid occupying the landing zone of an opponent. It's incredibly dangerous to take a player's landing out of their hands.

Just another example of PL referees having no idea what is and isn't happening on the pitch.

@Christmas Tree are we stubbornly sticking with this about Woltemade?

  The sentence finished “under normal circumstances”.

So yes, had Wissa been fit, he would have started. I like Big Walter but there is no hiding the fact that his style of the “striker role” has impeded our attacking edge. He looks perfect for a number 10 role.

And I’m quite prepared to die on this hill so fuck you and your kumbaya army!!!

i thought that too in his first few games but there are signs in the past two games that the players are learning how to play off him. he also gives us an out ball that didn't exist when isak was up top. his ability to control it with his back to goal and bring other's into play is as good as i've seen for us since shearer tbh. some of his lay-offs and little touches while holding the ball up yesterday were exquisite.

he was also getting into the box on the end of chances. okay, he missed a couple of good ones but at least he was getting into the right positions as a CF, which is encouraging

He’s doing very well considering, if Wissa comes back firing on all cylinders the Big Man/Little Man potential is mouthwatering tbh.

You clearly don't have the same issues as CT for accessing smut on the interwebs.
