Conducted a straw poll at work and home and it seems that depends on which side of the river you are from as to wether it was a pigeon or a budgie..... nearly all residents of the Toon side of the river insisted that Charlie had a budgie. ergo the residents from the Gateshead side of the water were on the pigeon side!! ( then a few spanners were thrown in from both sides who said it was Geordie that had the pigeon/budgie and not Charlie) My personal view was that Geordie had a pigeon and Charlie had the budgie cos he couldn't afford a tomahawk !!!
