Had to go to @Alexand @Monkeys Fist's Forest Hall manor this morning to drop something off on Northumberland Avenue. VERY swanky. Beautiful tree lined streets with fucking mansions up either side.

I used to live the next street down from there and yes, it’s an absolutely beautiful street, isn’t it? There’s a semi detached on the end which is huge. One is in lovely condition, owned by this old hippie type. Then next door there’s a one (ie the other semi / mirror image of that one) which has been fucking ruined with pebbledash, extensions etc. That was thanks to its former owner Bob Monkhouse (I think he had a child who went to the Percy Headley School right next to there).

Absolutely lush aye. There's a big semi for sale at the minute there for £600k.

I didn't know that about Monkhouse, the prick.

Reminds me of Beverley Gardens in Cullercoats or places in Jesmond/Gosforth. I just think "Eeeh, they'd cost a fortune to heat".

Bob Monk house was from Forest Hall?

I think he had a disabled child who attended the Percy Headley School for a while.

These fucking idiots. Absolutely delighted to see their stupid text patter become public record.

I was reading the court transcripts on this earlier. They got a forester with 35 years of experience working for the Forestry Commission who confirmed it didn't just bear the hallmarks of recognised tree-felling techniques, but he reckoned the pair of clowns were knowledgeable enough to know that the notch they cut would ensure it would fall onto Hadrian's Wall.

Absolute fucking muppets. I still don't get what the fuck they got from this.

Looks like some very conclusive evidence to me. I wonder how they try to deny culpability.

Their version of this will be boring as fuck:

I’d never heard this about him owning a house in Forest Hall tbh, but he did own a nightclub in Newcastle in the 60s.

No idea how old his son with CP is, but if he’s in the 60ish bracket that would make sense.

According to wikipedia he died in 1992 aged 40.

Aye, well that would fit then, he’d be early teens if his Dad owned the club in the mid 60s.

I think he also had a stake in a club a lot later than the 60s as I'm sure my mates have mentioned him doing an impromptu show when the comedian didn't turn up, reckons he was going for about three hours without pausing for breath.

Just caught up with the rest of the proceedings - these dickheads must be defending themselves. There's no way someone in the legal profession can recommend they plead not guilty in the face of that level of evidence.

I mean they've got Metadata of the grainy footage of a tree being felled by a chainsaw that was created at the precise coordinates of Sycamore Gap.

Fucking melons!

Prison time, hopefully. The fact they’re denying the charges won’t go in their favour either.

It's alright lads we've got the lowdown on Day 1 Courtroom DRAMA right here. 'Bad Blood', eyeballing and verbals in court, no less

They seem very ‘NFC’ as my lass and her colleagues referred to them lot when she still worked at the Freeman Hospital. I.e. ‘normal for Carlisle’

Heading into Manchester for my first meeting with my team. They're all relative kids, nearly as bad as my last job. When I started posting on this forum I was their fucking age! Where has the time gone?!
