That thing where he was Delbert Wilkins was far from crucial too.

The Delbert Wilkins show? I don't know where he thought up the titles tbh.

I think his best comedy was as that headmaster. But that wasnt sposed to be a comedy. You could tell that because it wasnt called 'headmaster'.

I've seen loads over the years. Sean Lock, Tim Vine, Bill Bailey, Jack Dee and Mark Lamarr were all excellent (even though I don't like Lamarr on Buzzcocks). Ben Elton the most disappointing.

I'd like to see the scottish guy with glasses who's on 8/10 Cats and Law of the Playground. Name escapes me at the moment.

Frankie Boyle.

An australian comedian called Dave Hughes, very dry.

Scruffy looking bloke? If it's him I've seen him on Paramount and he was superb.

Best standup I've ever seen is 'Ray Peacock' (Ian Boldsworth). Just as well he was good, as the support act barely raised a chuckle.

Rob Deering is OK but hasn't changed his act in 4 years.

Had the misfortune of seeing him recently at a stoodent comedy night (which was unfortunate enough in the first place, I suppose). He turned up about an hour late and reeled off a grumpy 15-minute set of what effectively amounted to "right, I'll play a riff/impersonate a silly voice and you have to guess who it is", ending with a song about how religion is quite nasty sometimes and a version of Robbie Williams' "Angels" that concluded "He's shagging fellas instead". Groundbreaking. :(

Hicks is, apparently, the comedians comedian.  Huge balls and hilarious.  He didn't just witter on about smelly people on buses and wanking with your wrong hand he made people think.  Still missed.

I've seen Noble twice and he is very clever, totally silly and absolutely hilarious.  Not sure about his longevity though.

Bobby Thomson first comedian I ever heard, fucking great 'Whey man they're dropping bombs not pork pies!'  Class.

Jasper Carrot is a nobber.

Saw Jack Dee once, I was in the front row in uncontrollable hysterics and he (sarcastically) asked me if I was alright.  My sides really did hurt the next day.

Anyone like Chubby Brown? They go mad for him round here.

I think he's a vulgar unfunny arsehole in the main. I'm not a prude and I don't mind the odd dirty joke, but when it's your entire act, what's the fucking point? I'm gonna sound like a right snobby twat here, but I'd say he generally appeals to thick fuckers, because there's no requirement to engage your brain in the slightest to get his jokes.
