A car with Android Auto is what you need. It works wirelessly so no need to plug in and you basically get your phone mirrored on the screen but optimised for driving.

I've a Pixel 6 so wouldn't get that kind of a discount, but I think I need to update the phone. My biggest issue is that the charging port always fills with fluff or lint or whatever and that means connecting to the car is a bitch. What I need, I guess is a car with a pad to mirror the screen without needing to connect a cable.

I just got a Pixel 9 Pro. They're not far off bringing out the 10 so I got an email offering me £350 off the 9 Pro and the trade in value of my old Pixel 8 was still £271. £999 phone for £378, not bad.
