That's an interesting prediction. Let's see if it all comes true.

Ah, the adidas three stripes on another shirt? Fair enough, I wondered what you going on about? Fair cop. (And you don't get many of them!)
-
Me too. Well there was that plus the series just seemed to be drifting for little plot advancement, like so many do. They just become soap operas, miserable ones at that. I've just watched S2E2 of the Last of Us and tbh that's not looking promising either. One implausible revenge story changed to another. Really feels like a video game now, shallow. Most stories have one great series in them and then just milk it. There are of course exceptions. Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Game of Thrones all had defined story arcs, even if the latter was awful in the end.

neither of which won goal of the month 🙄
-
clearly a card carrying MGTOW incel

A point is surely enough for you. It leaves a possibility of Man City, Newcastle, Chelsea & Villa all ending on 69 points, but Villa would need to win by 18 goals! Not even Man Utd are that shit!
-
I've just had to check the result, I switched it off after your 3rd. ok, they were fucking shite for 90 (possibly 95) minutes then!
-
who have you got - fulham away? can't see you losing there

if the three injury doubt don't make it (i've got a hunch they will), i think howe sets them up like this: ---------------pope krafth---schar-----burn---tino -----bruno----sandro---willock ----murphy---wilson----barnes - -

the cup win was massive for the mentality of the club too. it effectively ended the losers mentality that plagued the club for decades. and beating liverpool in the final showed we can get up for the big games. this is why i'm confident about beating everton on sunday. in the past i'd have been pissing my pants like CT but these players have stepped up in the important games this season and i expect them to do the same this weekend. our squad is nowhere near the fourth best in the country but our first team is class, and more importantly howe has got an unbelievable team spirit going. their heads don't drop after a bad result, they're capable of going on long winning runs, they hold on to leads after going ahead and they compete with the best sides in the league. a lot of that must be down to the atmosphere in the changing room. that's a magical thing that doesn't necessarily happen at clubs with better technical players. our players will want to keep this squad and this atmosphere together going into next season - and that means getting the job done against everton. -
probably in contention for goal of the season. distance, power, acccuracy, dip. i genuinely believe no keeper in the world stops that. and thank goodness bournemouth saw red, or we were in for a mighty tough last 15 minutes
-
thanks to last night i think 4 teams need to win and city need to draw. whether that helps city or not time will tell
-
Agreed. One of my mates reckoned it was goal of the season. And then I asked him about Tonali's ... and Murphy's.
-
Look, you're no DannyB, ok? But then that was a very low bar.
-
the goal was an absolute pearler tbf.

no offence meant with the cunt comment - it's the standard welcome to newbie posters who open with a provocative comment. didn't realise you weren't a newbie. if you're a long-time lurker you'll know we're a decent - if cliquey - mostly middle aged bunch.

Amitriptyline isn't used as an antidepressant much nowadays. More your newer SSRI type drugs. So @PaddockLad, everyone's reaction and experience is different, but that time of mine, I was on citalopram. I was off the drink almost entirely for a couple of months whilst I was taking it, and objectively I didn't feel much if any improved. I had grief I should have just worked through. But I did notice the combination of the drug with a pint gave me palpitations. So when I went on a planned holiday and wanted to drink, I stopped abruptly. I'm a pharmacologist ffs, I'm also an idiot. Anyway, the adverse effects from doing that were absolutely terrible looking back. Almost overnight the only way I could lift my mood from near suicidal was drinking, and within 2 weeks, well, you know, I was so malnourished I nearly died. This is just a cautionary tale to say that whatever Mrs PL does, DO NOT stop these drugs abruptly or without supervision. Everything in life, especially drugs, comes with benefits counterbalanced by risks. These drugs affect brain chemistry. The problem here is, if your brain stops working correctly, often you, essentially being your brain, can't rationalise it or act to correct it. I'm not advising against taking antidepressants, just to be aware the medical support available, a GP consultation lasting 8 minutes if you're lucky, isn't always adequate and you've got to be careful. Anyway, good luck to both of you. Take care. ❤️

Watched the Netflix 3-parter on Fred & Rose West last night. They've managed to get their hands on a lot of police footage - fucking creepy watching him walking around the garden & basement just nonchalantly pointing out precisely where he buried his victims. Also gave insight into his surviving kids and showed an interview with his eldest son. Overlooked by the media but they were as much victims as those who were killed. They were also the ones who ultimately shopped them by pointing out they were repeatedly threatened with "you'll end up under the patio, like Heather!" Imagine having to live with the knowledge that both your parents were mass murderers. Seriously fucked up.
