  2. This was OPTA's prediction for the league at the beginning of this season Have to give Ange and Amorim credit. They've both achieved something that OPTA said there was a 0.4% - 0.7% to chance of.
  3. Yup, since 1993/94 the winner of the PL Manager of the Year has been the league winner 25/30 times. exceptions were; George Burley with Ipswich (5th) in 0/01, Harry Redknapp with Spurs (4th) in 09/10, Alan Pardew with us (5th) in 11/12, Pulis with Palace (11th?!) in 13/14 and Klopp with Liverpool (2nd) in 21/22.
  4. Spot on. Add not reversing any of Thatcher's crimes.
  5. Shouting through the letterbox "the new Ben Dover's out. I'll only be 10 minutes. This is the last time honestly, I'll get my own soon "
  6. Just saw this online; Extreme Very British Challenges 1. Bring the emptied wheelie bin back in without having a quick peek inside first. 2. Place items on a shop counter without saying “just these, please”. 3. Pay for petrol without looking back out at the pump. 4. End a taxi journey without saying “anywhere here’s fine”. 5. Don’t apologise when someone bumps into you.
  7. Not so far in what I've listened to. I'm on Ep62 (Nov 3rd 1977) at the minute and Parkes has been talking at length about The Jam cos they're on this episode doing The Modern World.
  8. On dial up too. About to shoot his whack and then line drops because his aunt starts calling
  9. PL going round to his mate's house to watch porn ffs. Reprehensible.
  10. No. I can't say I've seen her in much tbh. For the guy pushing her over that course he did fucking superb. It's a hilly marathon.
  11. Aye, that's Gemma writhing in a boat as the hot Mitch summer just passes him by, the only difference was in the song Weller knew when he was beaten.
  12. On Sunday I watched the Leeds Mara / Half Mara. I saw some dude pushing a lass in a wheel chair and rightly so he got a massive cheer. I've found out the girl in the wheel chair was Rosie Jones.
  13. I suppose in '96 it wasn't the readily available internet it is now like you say. It's things like that we seem to overlook and the impact it has now.
  14. Well yeah that to me is pretty much the same thing. Facebook was only widely used on home pc’s initially not on everyone’s phone. That didn’t require a WiFi router in your house but most homes had it by the early-mid 2000s before Facebook appeared in 2007 ish… I know this because I got my first pc in 2005 ish and I was a pretty late adopter mostly because I didn’t really need one and dial up was a gigantic pain in the arse as far as I could make out… basically all my friends had told me “GET YOUR FUCKIN OWN!”
  15. Am sat in the van having a late lunch and that’s just done me in brilliant video, one for my fellow pop crazed youngsters ie @spongebob toonpants @Gemmill @Alex have they done this on chart music?
  16. Today
  17. Pre-Internet? I think you mean pre social media. But agree with you.
  18. Blair came in circumstances that will never be repeated again ie pre internet. The country was also in recovery from Thatcher and the recession of the early 90s. He stuck to the fiscal plans of the outgoing Tory government and the country boomed on easy credit both as a country (PFI finance was all borrowed) and individually (self cert and interest only mortgages). All went tits due to the yanks in 2008 and we’ve been in a political and social culture war ever since
  19. Blair was a much better communicator too.
  20. new labour was much, much more progressive.
  21. Awful mate. What shit hand for you and your family.
