It’s a big fucking gamble. They could well triple down on this. His agent sounds like a whopper. He won’t be fully match fit (Eddie match fit) until October as well at the earliest.

I think Isak is well capable of waiting this out until January. By then he’d have shat on everyone even more and we’d have to sell him rather than just writing off £100m+.

We are up shit creek without a paddle here. Anything could happen but my suspicion is that we’ll muddle through with JSL until January. Even if we forced Isak to stay there is no guarantee he’d even want to play for us again. I think Howe would rather get rid as well.

Haaland doesn’t have a direct replacement. JSL will only ever play if Isak (if staying gets injured or tired) Maybe we get Wissa as well but I just can’t see Isak reintegrating.

I’m just making educated guesses here. I think Isak will go. Everything will be in place (behind our backs) for him to sign so it should go quick. I don’t think we’ll sign anyone else and muddle through with Gordon and Osulu until January.

You absolutely do not splash £60-70m on a reserve striker. He will be Isaks replacement.

Having never seen im play a full game Id rather take a chance on Vlahovic on loan to be honest with an option to buy. Im assuming we've already skipped on him as he is available and we are desperate. JSL is bang average, although you do tend to see the big target men get better with age. He isn't going to get us far in the CL.

Thinking about this from a Liverpool to Isak relationship. If Liverpool don't come through with a decent bid id imagine the relationship between Mr Slimey Agent , Liverpool and Isak might be a bit frayed.
