And we beat 5th and 6th (3rd if Forest win tomorrow). -
He looked a mile off to the naked eye.

PSG gave them a football lesson there but they always concede chances. Really interesting tie.

Some of Klopps non-winning sides are better than this one. They’ve definitely deserved the title but they’ve had no competition with both Man City and Arsenal dropping off massively this season. -
Rugby tackles are allowed at The Emirates.

It’s so close to call. even if Brighton and Arsenal beat us I hope we get 6 points from our home games. Otherwise we might not make it. -
Me too but I’ve got a horrible feeling Arsenal are going to get through.

I agree it's a penalty. There Is enough force. My problem is that he is looking directly at it and he felt there wasn't enough force. It's not like he missed it. VAR basically just made the decision for him. There have been similar cases recently (Morgan Rogers at Forest for example) which they let the ref just make the onfield call rightly, or wrongly.

Mine is exactly the same. I can take about 2 mins before I zone out then when the conversation stops I just smile awkwardly because I have no idea what my response should be. The grand kids and his kids just magically disperse when he starts a story and I’m left alone in the room with him.

Aye. The lines are an absolute farce. They don’t do that with the semi-automated anymore do they? The Champions league had it last season (and maybe before that as well) and it works much better. I was just happy with the ball over the line technology but would be fine with offside decisions if it’s at a decent speed. The lines start to get blurred if eg a player hand balled into the net or someone punched a player off the ball etc. It’s certainly stopped a lot of diving in the box. That’s the one good thing.

I don’t normally like criticising refs but he was out of his depth on Sat. The Bruno disallowed goal was a joke (the defender pushed him into the keeper as well), I’m not sure if Burn tripped Ben Johnson and although Murphy was tugged back there has been numerous incidents recently like this that didn’t get overturned.

I think it goes back to their teams being in the 3rd/4th tier and not being televised, so the fans just pick a top flight team to watch.

I think there are two separate discussion points here. 1) Keeping possession 2) Tactically playing out from the back Every time the ball went back to De Gea high pressing teams would close him down and often get a mistake out of him. This happens to Pope as well which is why he generally just bollocks it recently (clearly been told) and an upgrade would be good in that area soon. I wouldn’t want a team that plays out like a Spurs or Brighton (last year). The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. -
Empty seats everywhere. I think there is a decent hard core support but the rest are made up of double fans. A lot of people from Brighton have a second team. It’s very strange. They are doing remarkably well for a football club. Mid table in the PL, European runs, semi-finals etc. they didn’t even have a stadium 20 years ago and had to travel to Gillingham for home games. Easy to forget the shit times. I hope our supporters don’t.
