  1. yes, sorry kidda but the 1st thing any gov does when it gets in is put people in positions of power at all gov controlled media (eg bbc). this then filters down into mainstream media. also all political press releases are directly from the goverment themselves so the media have no choice but to print what is given to them. Were these people in positions of power on holiday in and around the time of the Iraq dossier/Hutton enquiry? I didn't see the BBC doing the government any favours there. really?? anyone taken the blame yet??

  3. The US telly one is a scream for starters - it comes from their underlying notion that "British" is perfect for everything and if we just remove all the outside influences, all our problems would magically disappear - its beyond stupid. As for the EU as I've said until the BNP or the UKIP can actually explain how the economy would work without it, leaving is a non-starter. How anyone can believe the crap UKIP spout is beyond me. Look at who they are ffs, they are basically the extreme right wing loony fringe of mainstream politics, extories with views that were too unpalatable for the tory party. White middle class little Englanders who are utterly corrupt and do not stand for anything positive. As for the BNP, it's ironic, but rather than feel any sense of nationalistic pride in them it make me feel ashamed that nearly one million British people would like us to live in a fascist state. There's simply no excuse for using BNP as a protest vote either, none whatsoever. whats wrong with being white, middle class and from england?? ffs you've just killed yer own argument by saying something racist. i reckon you must have got this straight from the pen of Polly Toynbee, that well known, well balanced socialist who believes everyone should be equal as long as theres still champange and caviar for her and her mates. whilst i agree that everyone should have they're say all your doing is exactly what you accuse the "far right" of doing which is belittling and criticising everyone who doesnt share your world view. grow up man ffs. you should be more intelligent than to believe the propaganda the far left mainstream media feeds you.
  4. Good shout that who would your choice of speedy striker be? (if you have one) i like Nathan Tyson from forest think he could step up Leroy Lita
  5. 1st - i got the txtspeak reference. however i'm fairly certain if i check back through all your posts i'll find some form of abbreviation somewhere 2nd - all i'm saying there is theres 1 rule for 1 (members of a certain religion) and another rule for those horrible right wing nutters that Guardian readers are always bleating about. freedom of speach should work both ways. you cant just ban someone from a country BCOS they're saying something you dont like. (well actually you can as has been proved) I guess Democracy is a bitch when people you dont agree with get votes!! Plenty of islamic fundamentalists have been refused entry to the UK though, and some of those here have been arrested for inciting hatred. Freedom of speech and how far this should go is an interesting and controversial area, but I don't think the misinformation you've presented really helps the debate. Good point. imho freedom of speach should be just that. total freedom or its not freedom at all! Well that's one viewpoint I suppose but in reality it's not that simple. I think if you allowed incitement of hatred it would lead to a real rise in violence and murder. Also you have to be able to protect individuals against defamation etc. Basically it's a minefield and it leaves the authorities open to criticism whatever they do. But in the case of that dutch fruitloop, I would let him in for the comedy value of his hair alone. P.S. Fuck, this is in the wrong thread! i agree. lets get back to disagreeing about smoking
  6. what? as opposed to the last couple of seasons you mean??

  12. A lot of Health nazis on here. I smoke but not a lot. maybe 3 or 4 a day. obviously more if im out on the lash. i dont smoke in the house (i go into the garage) bcos i respect wor lasses wishes. i dont smoke in front of the bairns bcos i dont want them to start smoking. however i wouldnt criticise them if they did. that would just be too hypocritical. I have no problem whatsoever with people who dont smoke, even those who seem obsessed with people who do smoke. Just bcos we dont agree it doesnt give you the right to be judgemental or to censor people. theres a word for that. i think its called facism Live and Let Live i say

  16. Who was it that had the six wheeled cars all those years ago? Dark blue and sponsored by Elf iirc. that would be the Tyrrell p34 from 1976. Williams tested a 6 wheel car in the 80's i think which had 4 wheels at the back ie. double the traction so it was banned on the spot cos it would have walked the championship that year!! found this on you tube. canny cool!!
  17. could we not get him on loan?? if the storys true of course!!!
