  1. Give Mike Ashley the presidents job!
  2. James McCarthy yeah? Good shout, looks really promising. We havn't a hope of getting Phil Jones though, one of the big 4/5 will have him. Yeah, if Wigan went down we would have a decent chance of getting him. Could really develop into a top class player!
  3. I would like Samba, McCarthy, Ba, Phil Jones and Morten Gamst Pederson. Samba will likely be off to a more ambitious team than us. McCarthy I feel would be an amazing signing since every time I see him play he seems to improve. Ba would give us a decent option up top. Jones is a promising player and MGP would give us a bit of versatility to play on the wings.
  4. Coming down for the first time this season with a couple of mates, any advice on the best places to head on a Sunday (pre and post match)?
  5. He can finish, but he is the laziest player I have ever set eyes on. Could be worth a chance though espescially as he will be goin on the cheap.
  6. Stirling Albion to beat Arbroath - Stirling are one of the stronger teams in that league and Arbroath only have 10 fit players. Charlton to beat Stockport - Stockport are pish, Charlton are decent.
  7. My only other team are Montrose as that's my hometown. Shit team, shit support, shit owners, shit football and shit grounds. But I fooking love it
  8. Just so you know, Hibs might have won the game but St Johnstone supposedly played them off the park and hit the post and bar multiple times.
  9. I would take Bobo Balde, no frills defender who isn't scared to put himself through a player for the cause.
  10. No agenda. The rest of your thread is there for all to see. I have pointed this out already. If you didn't have an agenda, why did you say the stuff backed up your pre-conceived notions of NUFC fans then? Especially when those views were not in the least way representative of the views on here? What I said was most fans that I had come across in my town. Many of them up here are arrogant and your club for that very reason is not popular amongst supporters of many clubs in Scotland. Sad for your club and the numerous good supporters you most likely have, but nonetheless true in my experience. As for an agenda I think it is fairly obvious that I don't have one. What would I gain from that? You seem to have very selective reading. Did you not read these bits? "I'm sure many of your lads and lasses are dead on. I am no bellend or glue sniffer and I won't tar you all with the same brush. As I said I wanted to have a chat with your lads and I came across a post that was disrespectful and incorrect. As I said on my post on our forum unfortunately a large propotion of your fans in Scotland seem to be of the same ilk." I've met many good Newcastle fans, as I have fans of every club. However as I said, many of your support in my experience, and especially in my home town are of the same mentality as Stevie. You are entitled to think what you like mate but I have no agenda. This bloke thinks I'm a sweaty because I have Arthurs Seat in my pic. Look mate if I was from Edinburgh I wouldn't be supporting an English club because David Hurst or Ginola was my hero as a kid, I'd support Hibs or Hearts, because they'd be my local clubs, and proper fans support their local clubs. .
  11. I was critical of Krul after his time in Scotland and didn't think he would make it but by fuck he went about proving me wrong the day. Class from the moment he came on. Well played son.
  12. Working in a whisky bar I have went through a fair few of the more exclusive ones after work. By far the best I have had was 77 vintage Highland Park. Pricey for a dram, but mine was free .
  13. I certainly would count him in the same class of manager as Fergie, Shankly, Stein, Busby, Paisley and Souness.
  14. Just found this out, completely in shock despite knowing it was coming. R.I.P Sir Bobby.
  15. Aye and no doubt he will be living his dream managing the toon, as that's as close as he should ever get to the job.
  16. Strachan for me, if he doesn't go to Southampton....Shearer only makes real sense if Ashley can't sell the club. Strachan plays the most dire football imaginable. He managed to alienate himself from the fans at Celtic with his bewildering tactics and player choices. Also he is an absolute bellend to match!
  17. I wouldn't say I'm delighted at all, but I'm all for letting the Scottish be Scottish and letting the English be English providing they are not automatically labeled racists for daring to show as much national pride and national identity as the Scots. Mate the average jock is much funnier than the average English bloke, but it's a miserable funny with most of them, and I can say categorically they love geordies on the whole consider us a notch up from most English, they're right of course but..... they are collectively the most racist, bigotted, xenophobic peoples in Britain, even Scottish_Mag would admit that. Anyway I like jocks who support England, they'd be third world if it werent for us, so cunts wearing Portugal tops cos they knocked us oot the WC, fuck off. I will. Stevie has it part correct, on average I would say that most of us 'Jocks' do prefer geordies to basically the rest of England mostly due to the sense of humour and distain for most things London based. Bigotted I will give you when you see the trolls running around in their thousands wearing the old firm tops due to the religion that they have no clue about then yeah. But they are not representative of Scotland. They need culled like. As for the supporting England thing, no I don't support England agaisnt anyone but neither do I want them beat, apart from when they start to get closer to winning something again as I couldn't put up with listening to repeats of 66 all over again. The average gripe is more with the English press than the English people, apart from Jimmy Hill. He's a poof! Rant over.
  18. MO just like a fucking big mac. The advertising promises so much but delivers hardly anything.

    Aberdeen

I take it that you didn't pull then? Where in Peterhead, the most attractive things up there are the sheep with lip stick mate, Aberdeen was all through the day, then home. Did you end up going out in Peterhead? Went out there once after the football. Youngest person I saw out was about 40. Some nice pubs in and around the place though. Instead of going further North than Aberdeen should have headed slightly South to find a place to stay. Much nicer, better golf courses and less of an accent. We had a few in Peterhead but stayed in Boddam which is about 2 or 3 mile awa. I couldn't ever begin to tell you how horrible they talk there, "orm fae Orbordeen" it's unbelievably bad, I could listen to someone with an accent like Ketsbaia or J69 well before that, they might as well speak gaelic, Totally backward places. I don't even think Cumbria is more backward than them places. Montrose looked a nice place like passed through on the train what with the water in land and out at sea. The best thing about up there was the trip home on the train, fantastic really, loads of coastal views, not least across the Firth of the Forth to Edinburgh, and that famous railway bridge, but honestly for pace of life Newcastle is like New York compared to the North East of Scotland. Aberdeen hasn't even got a fuckin motorway or a proper ring road, a city bigger than Sunderland??! Yeah Montrose is just a quiet little town, nice beach, course and stuff like that. Aberdeen isn't the most happening place going at all, this is mostly being the result of the boom of the early 90's that saw the city becoming a focal point for the oil industry again meaning that it's all fat cats that are stuck there so very little in the way of fun happening there. I'm currently splitting my time living in Montrose and Edinburgh so I get to see the Forth rail bridge every time am flitting around. The train journey is something that seems to captivate a lot of English people as I've had a few of my mates from uni travelling to and from Montrose from Edinburgh and they are surprised by just how beautiful some of the countryside is up here. I fully agree about the pace of life point and it pisses me off aswell, but from time to time it is nice as a relaxant. P.s. Foo d'ya do manny, ehm fae eberdeen!!

  21. He's probably asked an extra mill for the coffee machine. To be fair if Nolan was worth £4.5 mil then the coffee machine must be worth about a mil too then.
  22. Just back from the pub and no matter how many JD's have been sinked still looks god awfull. FFS!
  23. Would it surprise you if Ashley actually did this?
  24. Does the man have no sense of shame? All that stupid statements like this is going to do is further alienate potential buyers as they must be thinking WTF is actually up with the club if he is using the official site as his own personal ad space. Idiot!
