  1. Not simple enough for Ketsbaia neither. I'm looking at the tackles as individual incidents. Eaxctly! Glad to see someone making sense on here! Each individual tackle should be looked at on its own merits. Nolan and De Jong deserve the same punishments for each individual tackle. Should De Jong then be further punished for being repeat offender? Yes! Does that minimise the brutality of Nolan's challenge... no! Was Nolan's tackle as bad if not worse than De Jong's? Yes Is that simple enough for you Tuco? I'm struggling to see anyone who is condoning Nolan's challenge. I'm not saying anyone is saying Nolan's challenge wasnt a disgrace, the point i'm making is that its easy to be up in arms about someone doing it to your own player, whilst ignoring your own players guilt in such matters. It just smacks of hypocracy thats all
  2. I seem to remember Nolan was (rightly) issued with a straight red card for that challenge and was accompanied by a ban. De Jong is available for selection from the next game and will not serve a single minute of suspension for a truly awful tackle. And for what it's worth I don't know one of our fans who were not disgusted by Nolan's challenge on Anichebe let alone defended him so I totally fail to see what point you're making... Well it could be argued that Nolan's 3 match ban wasn't even close to being the punishment he deserved... would a De Jong 3 match ban be enough to satisfy you? I highly doubt it. So the point is valid that Potentially ruining a players career is disgraceful but it happens and NO CLUB including yours is guilt free. The point you fail to recognise is that calling for De Jong's head is massively hypocritical when you own players are less than innocent of this type of thing

  4. Aye and Nolan hasn't got a history of thuggish tackling like this de Jong. He's a modern day Mark Dennis the cunt. He's administered two broken legs and the worst challenge in World Cup Final history in just 5 months. Put some perspective on it. There is no perspective to put on it. That Nolan challenge was just as bad if not far worse than the De Jong one. Now doing it once and potentially ruining a players career doesn't make it somehow less bad. Barney i'm sure there are plenty of people on here who as you said were appauled by Nolan's chellenge... however it seems a lot of people have forgotten about it. My point is that it goes on in the game, its wrong but I think very few teams have a right to complain when it happens to them, as at some point one of their players will have done something just as bad. Like I say there's no room in the game for it, but most teams are somewhat guilty. Being an Evertonian I get kind of riled by the complaints about the FA not doing anything when Nolan only got a 3 match ban and Anichebe has been out for the best part of 2 years. It a bit of pot calling the kettle black in my opinion Course it does, Nolan's was totally out of character, this blokes done it before many times, and he'll do it again. I don't care about Anichebe anyway. At the peak of his abilities, he'd be a star man at Brighton or Barnsley anyway. Ok so if its out of character its ok to potentially end someone's career? Thats just retarted logic! Each incident is as bad regardless of past history, what applies to De Jong applies to Nolan... the fact De Jong has done it before is irrelevant. He should be punished severely for each individual career threatening tackle... as should Nolan have been! You dont care about Anichebe? So its ok to ruin someones career if they aren't that great to start with? You just proved how stupid your arguments are!

  6. Now while I agree there is no room for shit house tackles in the game, I think you lot really need to get of your high horses as you're far from being innocent of them... Just ask Victor Anichebe and look at how few games he's played over the last 2 years due to Nolan ruining his career!
  7. I've played about 15 matches on-line so far and not had a single problem bar one game being a bit laggy.
  8. Some great photo's there! I love the Amen Corner one... reminds me of the Exorcist for some strange reason
  9. Just to make a few points as an Everton supporter: Cahill has been a wonderful player for us, and until last season was my favourite player... however as a team we have progressed a lot since he signed and he is no longer as instrumental as he once was. He scores goals, not massive amounts though... 8 last year? Thats not bad but Bilalyetdinov (spelling?) got 6 from out wide and when not accustomed to the premier league... now i'm not saying he's a better player (jury is still out on him), i'm just saying goals aren't the only important thing a player should bring to a team... In order to progress Cahill needs to be phased out over the next few years for a more technically gifted player. Yak may or may not be finished... end of last season he started to look a bit more like the old Yak, against Man U he looked sharp... his attitude and fitness are a major concern... if he sorts these out he could end up being our most important player this year. Moyes has built up the expectation level and now he's often criticised for being too negative as we expect to go out and be more ambitious... I think those who have forgotten just how great a manager he has been for us would quickly remember if he left! Beckford doesn't seem to have the 1st touch for a premier league player, and definately not for playing as a lone striker... could be a good impact sub though to throw on for a bit of pace when the opposition defence is tiring... can't see him getting more than 8 goals this year for us tho, and thats me being generous! Anyway all this Cahill chat is redundant as he's injured for the match. My prediciton? Toon will give us a decent game, but after the confidence boosting comeback against Man U I expect us to win a tight game 3-1. Living in Newcastle tho I hope you guys have a good season.
  10. So my new Canon 450d arrived a few days ago and I took some pics with it... here's the best 2... feedback would be welcome as always :-)
  11. Ridiculous isn't it!!! Its like they dont treat it seriously or something! Like someone else said they treat you like numbers and not like people. I know this has decended in to a bit of a slagging match but like Tuca said 6 weeks can make a huge difference in tumour cases.
  12. I might go in and see them next week tbh as wouldn't mind talking to them about the next step they will take to diagnose my problems if the MRI scans come back as normal.
  13. Just kind of put it to the back of my mind and got on with life tbh... no point in worrying about stuff you can't control. However its starting to get ridiculous now which is why I rang them. Oh I forgot to mention I did ring them about a month ago and got the same answer... forgot about that for a moment there! I didnt realise my GP would be able to do anything about it so never considered speaking to them... would I need to make an appointment or can u speak to GP's on the phone? Obviously a stressful wait but I'd be surprised if they haven't looked at the scan at least and found nothing grossly abnormal, i.e. it's a communication cock up rather than a clinical cock up. I take it whatever symptoms you have have not worsened in the mean time? No they havent which is one of the reasons i've not been too stressed about it tbh. Apparently the scans are of the consultants desk but she hasn't looked at them yet is all the receptionist could tell me so not sure if this means the people who took the scans had a look and filed them under "non urgent" or something? Not sure how these things work. Its only now that its 2 months in and I want them to look at other possibilities for my symptoms that i've started to get annoyed... plus the fact I would prefer to have a brain tumour ruled out asap as its not nice knowing there's that possibility... I think the thing thats made me a bit more stressed is the story in the paper of the guy who had a brain tumour that the docs missed for ages. Got me thinking about my situation a bit.

  15. Sadly this is quite a likely scenario!
  16. I would guess you were referred by your GP and if so, they want shooting for not being involved already. It seems a rediculous time to wait. If your GP did refer you, get in touch today and give them hell. They will know how to get to the right person for you. If no joy within 24 hours, contact the local paper. Good luck Thanks i'm glad its not just me who thinks this is a crazy amount of time to wait! I best point out its not expected that I have a brain tumour... its more to rule out the possibility... although that does mean there is a possibility, even if its not likely. I'll speak to my GP next week and get them to chase it up... its just bloody ridiculous this wait! I mean if I did have a brain tumour (unlikely) then surely 2 months could be the difference between living and dying? Might not be this bad in my case, but i'm sure i'm not the only one waiting ridiculous amounts of times for them to even look at the scans let alone do anything about them if there's a problem!
  17. Had an MRI scan to check for brain tumours etc and was told i'd find out the results in 3 weeks. Its been over 2 months and still no news! So I rang them and asked an apparently they haven't even looked at the results yet?!!!!!! I'm fucking fuming! Is this an unacceptable amount of time to wait? and who should I complain to if not?
  18. Oh yeah and it comes with a lense
  19. Yeah I was recommended canon by someone who knows their stuff... They said that there's not really much difference between them and Nikon tho, just comes down to personal preference really as both are similarly excellent. Gotta wait 5 days for delivery tho so thats gonna be a killer! Got a great deal on it mind... £320 brand new Brand New with a lens??? Where from? Ebay. I say brand new... its an ex display model (been in a display case for one month) but comes with a full one year warrantly etc. Hell of a bargain when its £550 in a lot of shops!
