You're close but its the other way around, your mind wakes up before your body. When you sleep your brain sends signals to your body to paralyse it so you dont act out your dreams... when you wake up it should reconnect at the same time, however with sleep paralysis it doesnt do this immediately and thats when the "fun" starts. Not sure what causes this though.

Anyone here ever suffered from this? Bloody horrible! I've had dark figures stood next to my bed watching over me, to the deafening sound of a radio being tuned in and bright light flooding the room. Shit yer pants scary it most certainly is!!!

Yeah but the problem is as soon as I realise I'm dreaming I wake up... grrr!

Wierd dream I once had that I always remember is: In the bogs having a dump and I hear someone being murdered in the cubicle next to me... anyway I finsih my business and leg it out of there. As I leave the bogs i'm in a massive empty warehouse At the very far wall is a staircase leading up to a door. I run to the staircase and quickly climb up to the small platform in front of the door, as i'm about to open the door I feel something behind me and turn around. Standing in front of me no more than a metre away is a demon... grey skin, horns, evil eyes, and behind him filling the entire warehouse are more demons with grey skin and horns. He looks at with with his dead eyes and in a satanic evil voice says "Join us". I wake up! Was the most scary dream ever!

Cool images... especially the 2nd. Its amazing the detail you can get just using a camera and not a telescope... yes I know the lense is allwoing you to do this but its still impressive none the less

I counted her, so you should. Just checked and she said it doesn't count if its less than 3 inches and lasts less than 2 pumps. So thats both me and you off the list then

I banged a 26 year old on Saturday! Was my wife tho... does that count?

Thanks for the feedback mate. Yeah I defo agree with your comments about no.2... the more I look at it the more I think I didnt quite get the composition quite right. Its definately a learning curve though so i'm pleased that i'm getting some right and appreciate the feedback as it helps me improve on the ones i dont get quite right. I've not used Lightroom tbh, but I'm going to do what you said and have 2 different images saved and compare the 2 to see which I prefer... good advice!

Yeah you're right I suppose about it being a personal style. I think for me i'm not a purist in the sense that I enjoy taking a photograph and changing it to make it something slightly different. I think the photos that appeal to me the most are the one's that don't necesseraly look completely natural in most cases (although it really depends on the subject matter). So maybe I should stick with my own style and perfect it. I guess individuality is what sets people apart as photographers and doing what you like is probs the best way forward even if you alientate some people as a result. I've gone through some of your pics and they are very good... its a shame you only have a few street ones on there as you have a great eye for that type of shot judging by those photos... Street photography is probs my favourite type so I appreciate a good photo of this type. I think the photo entitled "Joy" in the people set is outstanding btw... probs my favourite one i've looked at!

Cheers JawD. With the last 2nd to last one I was going for a more artistic pic rather than it being a true portrait pic of the missus so I didn't mind her not being the full focus of the picture if you knwo what I mean? The last one I was more going for the street art candid type picture... I see what you mean though about maybe using the background with a shallower DOF and in colour so she doesn't kind of blend in with it quite so much. I wouldn't mind asking you a question about these images if thats ok? My mate (well more my wife's mate) is a photographer but only just started taking her first paid for bookings... anyways she had a look at some of mine and said she thinks i'm over producing them in photoshop. What do you think? I'm quite a big fan of post production and so would be interesting to see what you think regarding this.

Nobody want to give any feedback?

Great picture but what really makes it for me is your signature underneath which says "You may say I'm a dreamer" and there's yer kid seemingly trying to climb a wall impossibly high for him.... not sure that was intentional but its great none the less.

I took the wife and camera to South Shields on Sunday and tried my hand at a bit of portrait photography... not done this before so thought i'd have a go at it. Now there's a couple of things I know i've done wrong: 1) Too much unsharpen mask which i'll use less of next time as there's slight halos around objects on some pics if you look closely 2) Composition slightly off with too much white space to right of first 2... I think... but would welcome some feedback on this to see what others think Anyway feedback as always is very welcome and appreciated

Bad crack that like! Any chance you could name and shame to avoid the rest of us ending up getting ripped off there?
-
Yeah thats a good point actually!
-
Cheers for that! Thats kind of the rough area I was expecting... although the shutter speed is slower then I imagined but seeing as you used a tripod I get how you managed that without camera shake. I think I need to invest in a decent tripod at some point.

Cheers, yeah the light was very low so there wasn't much to work and I thought I'd try and face the sun to give the pictures more interest else would have been a bit flat otherwise. The 3rd one was taken during early afternoon so maybe thats a better time to be taking pics. Will you take some voyeur ones of lasses with big tits in the town. Haha why not! All in the name of art of course!

Just getting started with the whole DSLR thing after a few years of using a point and shoot so be gentle. Here's a few of my efforts so far:

Thats fine mate, we've been up and running for a couple of years and have a fair few people who play some weeks and not others. Also most of the people dont know each other when they start playing so I wouldn't worry about that either. PM me your phone number and i'll add you to my contact list and you'll receive a text on a Monday usually asking about your availability. Just text back a yes or no depending on if you can play or not.
-
Lovely shot! Can I ask what settings you used? I'm presuming a slow shutter speed and higher apperture? I'm just getting used to manual settings as only had the camera a few weeks so this kind of info would help me understand how to take good shots.
