  1. No end-product at all though. I think tonights match was a step in the right direction, whilst not worth hanging out the bunting for, but still worth respecting a clean sheet in europe and hopefully the performance of the Ramage/Taylor partnership will show that it is worth proceeding with rather than using Bramble.
  2. Good effort, where did you get the logo's from ?
  3. I thought the back four coped very well tonight, there was an air of confidence between them that is all too absent when Bramble is there and Ramage is at Leftback, I was impressed with Martins, I thought he is growing more accustomed to "English" style football, I still think the service was poor, he was isolated at times and needed to come too deep. Personally, I was happy with the performance tonight, we absorbed them very well, and was a welcomed clean sheet and three points.
  4. I know, thats where I got it from, but the ones on sortitoutsi are at the wrong image size so they look fucked up in the game, I have cropped them so they are now correct. You can use mine or the wrong ones on sortitoutsi, its up to you.
  5. I thought Billy Connolly had a great game in goal for the Turks tonight

I think hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  8. Fuck me ! he's £8m in my game !!!
  9. Bloody hell, according to SNN, you could have paid for every German World Cup stadium (new stadiums and rebuilds) for the cost of the New Wembley and have £12m left over ! Outrageous !
  10. Take this as an observation rather than a complaint, but I'm thinking FM2007 is a tad easy so far.
  11. Uefa Cup Group H St James Park Thursday, 19 October Kick-off: 2000 BST Coverage on the BBC Sport website & BBC Radio Five Live Newcastle face a potential goalkeeping crisis with manager Glenn Roeder refusing to elaborate on a "minor" injury problem for Steve Harper. With Shay Given still out with an abdominal injury and recent signing Pavel Srnicek ineligible, teenage keeper Tim Krul is on standby to play. Celestine Babayaro is available after suspension, but will have to prove he has recovered from a groin problem Meanwhile, Kieron Dyer (hamstring) is short of match fitness. Newcastle (from): Harper, Krul, Carr, Bramble, Moore, Taylor, Ramage, Babayaro, Parker, Butt, Duff, Emre, N'Zogbia, Solano, Milner, Pattison, Ameobi, Martins, Sibierski, Luque. # Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder on the part played by Turkish midfielder Emre in the build-up to the match: "Emre has been great - he knows all of the players and the mentality of Turkish football. "They have a lot of talented, highly technical players. "I think from what I have seen and from talking to Emre that they will probably be cautious to start with."

He [Dyer] is a complete waste of our resources like, I wish we could bin him off. Iirc I used to think Northern Monkey was a canny poster back in the day I visited N-O. Bin him off? I think one more breakdown and we should tear up his contract.
  13. Nah, those with "council telly" will miss it !
  14. How can someone so tall be accused of being lowlife ?

  16. Not played it for long, but so far I've imported some graphics across from FM2006, background pics and kits, also training from FM2006 works too although not the "cheating" training. So far so good, started with the Toon, not enough money to do much with the team, I've brought in some coaching staff, and am still exprimenting with formations.
  17. Like his 'Russian' accent in The Hunt For The Red Oktober. "auch aye the nooooo comrade !"
  18. Thats the best option providing you are not wanting to share them with others.
  19. Thats handy, I get paid on Saturday !!
  20. Better than Scotland. Or Greece or Egypt or Tunisia or Poland recently What is better? The fact that they qualify. Are there teams from CONCAF that don't qualify who have more than 11 registered footballers. You would like to compare Honduras with Liberia? Or the Congo with Jamaica? No, the USA with Greece etc. And I think there are quite few more African nations than Carribean islands... 35 members of CONCACAF 50 members of CAF 45 members of AFC 12 members of OFC (Incl. Australia) 52 members of UEFA 10 members of CONMEBOL Aren't it 55 of CAF? And most members of CONCACAF are as big as Jersey or the Isle of Man... But that's not the question anyway. The USA will qualify for the World Cup for the 100 years as they don't have any real competition apart from Mexico. So to compare their success with the success of Greece etc. recently is hilarious tbh. And Viana is not a holding midfielder. Comparing their success at the world cup is different to comparing it qualifying for the world cup. Questioning their success at the tornament is relevant to questioning their qualification procedure tbh.
  21. It wont be long before the USA do their usual trick with football, by creating a sporting world championship where they are the only representive country !!
  22. Name: Nigel Pearson Position: Assistant Manager Nationality: England Date Of Birth: 21/08/63 Place Of Birth: Nottingham, England Height: 185cm Weight: 90kg Signed: 09/11/04 Previous Clubs: Player - Heanor Town, Shrewsbury Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough. Manager - Carlisle United First Team Coach - Stoke City National Coach - England Under 16' to Under 20's. Nigel Pearson joined West Bromwich Albion on the 9th of November 2004 after being appointed as Bryan Robson's number two. Pearson whose 41, left his post as England Under-20 coach to join the Hawthorns outfit. Nigel retired from Professional Football in 1998. He has spent the last two-and-a-half years working as a national coach for the FA, previous to that he was manager of Carlisle United and first team coach at Stoke City. Nigel started his career with Non-League side Heanor Town in the Midland League. In 1981, Pearson signed for Shrewsbury Town, he made a total of 181 appearances for the Shrews before a £250,000 transfer move to Sheffield Wednesday in 1987. He soon became captain at Sheffield Wednesday and in 1991 he stood proud as he lifted the League Cup at Wembley Stadium where Wednesday had beaten Manchester United 1-0 in the Rumbelows (League) Cup Final. In 1993 Nigel broke his leg in the semi final of the League Cup, Wednesday reached both the FA Cup and League Cup Final that year and lost both of them and Nigel had to sit out of both matches through injury. Nigel made 218 starts for Sheffield Wednesday and in 1994 new Middlesbrough manager Bryan Robson signed Pearson for £750,000. Robson immediately installed Pearson as captain. After 12 months Nigel had led Middlesbrough to the First Division Championship. Nigel made three appearances at Wembley with Boro, playing in both League and FA Cup finals in 1997, and the League Cup final in 1998. Middlesbrough lost all 3 finals. Nigel hung up his boots in 1998 and went on to complete his UEFA coaching badges. In December 1998 Nigel was appointed as Carlisle United's Director of Football. When Pearson joined Carlisle they were in deep trouble and lying bottom of the Fourth Division Table. Pearson took control of 27 games at Brunton Park, winning 5, drawing 12 and losing 10. The final game of his reign was at Home to Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle needed nothing less than a win to ensure they played professional football the following season. On-loan goalkeeper Jimmy Glass came up for a corner four minutes into injury and somehow managed to get on the end of a rebound and drove home the most famous goal in Carlisle's history, keeping the club in the Football League. In the Summer of 1999 Gary Megson appointed Nigel Pearson as head coach of Stoke City. Gary was sacked from Stoke in November 1999 but was appointed West Brom manager in March 2000. Pearson was offered the chance to join Megson at the Hawthorns, but Pearson rejected Megson's offer. In June 2001 Pearson departed the Britannia Stadium following Stoke's decision not to offer Pearson a new contract. In 2002 Nigel was appointed as one of the FA's new national coaches and he immediately jetted out to the Under-20 tournament in Toulon where England were playing. Pearson was involved with every England Youth team from Under-16's to the Under-20 team. On November 9th 2004 he teamed up with Bryan Robson to become West Bromwich Albion's Assistant Manager.
