  1. Causing trouble already. At least I managed to refrain from posting in the General Election thread (for now).
  2. thought it was a bit random like.
  3. ... Sterling reasoning. I think you made some good points and am far from certain that "my" side is the right one.
  4. Pretty key area for an attacking player. I'm not recalling too many terrified defenses either. Agree with that, but is going to get caught wanting from a lack of pace and lose it soon enough. Shame you can't listen to an opinion that differs from yours without labeling it ludicrous, but that's your business.
  5. Is that aimed at me?
  6. I'm praying the 2 Argies have a great World Cup. Neither of them going to cut it in the Premiership next season. so our best CB this season and (IMO) the best of only 2 first team wingers we have arent good enough and you want them to leave? fucking hell what are you expecting this summer? I didn't say I was optimistic, in fact if they're not going to do the job next season, how on earth are we supposed to replace them AND sort what else needs to be sorted? I would much rather just enjoy the end of season and the summer circus than worry about any of that though. Collocini just doesn't have the quickness of though required for the Premiership imo, and more cultured defenders are going to stop Jonas in his tracks, just like they did last time. I've enjoyed watching us this season more than most on here from what I read, but we did just win a shit league. What do you think has changed about these 2 players since last time around?
  7. The difference is, Matt's statement makes total sense, yours is a pretty funny analogy. Ashley, a legal entity, has lent Newcastle, another legal entity, money. Newcastle has a legal obligation to Ashley. You've made an investment in something which should increase it's value, but if you've made a bad decision, tough shit. Are you planning on taking yourself to court over the cost of the curtains?

  9. It has been argued many times on here that this "must be repaid" line is rubbish. If and when he sells, the price a buyer pays will be the price, end of. It's like you lending yourself 30,000 for fancy wallpaper for your home. Doesn't mean that if you sell a buyer is going to pay you that 30,000 on top of the real price, no matter how much you want it. At the end of the day you will only get the market value. Same with Newcastle. I've actually gone through the forgot password rigmarole to laugh at this. Do you think Ashley is running Newcastle as a sole trader?
  10. J serenading his new phone. It's really about him too in a lot of ways. GO J!
  11. 34. 51 in Robert years. Where was Domi from btw?
  12. Jedward. How long before someone does use that name btw?
  13. This is very cool of them, I will be signing up and passing it along. Cheers. Ah shite, UK only. Doesn't look like it extends to Ireland either. Still a great cause and will join facebook group.
  14. Got the X41s waiting for me in the post office. Some mixed reviews, so I shall have to see how they go. Posting this from my 1080p 52" Bravia. Even after a month or so, fucking hell.
  15. I believe, but am no expert, that you would be prevented from doing so. I think you would have to prove that it comes under 'health and safety' regulations to be able to sidestep it. Actually, you could easily do that given that's how they are banning gambling in some places, so you would be able to. But should you have to jump through loop-holes? HF - I know you're smart enough to see that that's dangerous thinking, I'm not sure I want to get into the gritty details though. That's the problem of having fun in these threads, real danger of serious conversation.
  16. Love her name, have felt that way about a few on here.
  17. Search 'with:public toontastic' if you need a wave to mess around on.
  18. When did you decide this? Chomsky doesn't agree with you, I know he's popular with your lot. As an aside, many Swiss cantons have concealed carry laws and quite easy access to AK47s and the like. One for you lib'ruls to think about. Yay politics threads!
  19. I'm not exactly an expert on Islam as I thought minarets were something to do with ballet prior to reading this thread, but judging from the wiki quote below, one allows them a place of worship, the other allows them to stamp their cultural mark on the surrounding area and probably makes it easier for communities to build in isolation to the surrounding culture. btw Axman, the old testament (the book of the Jewish faith) was around before 2k years ago, but as to how long Christianity has been around, the clue's in the name. Surprised to see Parky so down on the Swiss, the last bastion of freedom in the West surrounded on all sides by the truly terrifying march of the New World Order. It's almost like the bloke makes no sense.
  20. PM me your email address and I'll send it straight on.
  21. Have a couple of these invites going now if anyone wants one. Lurkers most likely ignored.
  22. I forgot about this starting due to a messed up schedule, so only caught the second half. Thought it was a decent away performance from what I saw. Harewood held the ball up well at times, looked like the Chamionship's answer to Ameobi at others. I do sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same match though. Loving this skyplayer mejigger.
