  1. Tasty. How much? Not sure, but I hear Pearson was at the game watching him. So was I (EngerlandfanWembleytastic), but in a far less conspicuous position than our Nigel. The only person (apart from Richardson, because he was shite) who caught my eye was Bentley, and that was only in the first half really.
  2. I hope you see why that statement is a little iffy in comparison to what Roeder inherited. Glad you had a good laugh! Maybe you didn't understand the point I was making, perchance??? Rodders implied that he (and a lot of other managers make the same tired point) that they can't be judged until they manage a squad of their own, and not someone else's. Now then, should Alan Pardew get Charlton to avoid relegation, what will this say of his management?? Surely Charlton should go down as they have a shit squad of players and the last manager was taking them down? But hey, if they stay up, then this says to me that a different manager can get a squad of any players to play better than his predessor and this excuse of 'using someone else's players' is a poor excuse. [imo]
  3. You know, as well as everyone else does, that he will have been on here to read what's being said about him/them (LM/NE5/Beermonster)
  4. Whatever you say, Rodders Personally, top 8 or even top 10 would have been acceptable, but you couldn't manage that could you. I feel sorry for the next manager of Man Utd. Imagine having to replace all the players to get 'his squad' in order not to be using someone else's Utter rubbish, Rodders. Yes we've had injuries, but stop bleating on about it. If you aint feeling any pressure, why the need to come out and defend yourself??
  5. Bramble waiting by the phone.
  6. Correct. I'm in Whitley and in the same constituency. The thing about this place is that the tories will get every supporter out to vote - without fail - and apathy, or dissatisfaction, will give them the seat back.
  7. At least it's north of the river. Well north, but still north
  8. Cannavaro is deffo coming, but Rodders is having difficulty getting Woodgate. [btw] '...The St James' four' sounds like a bunch of lags who have been subjet to some miscarriage of justice Maybe it's us who have suffered the miscarriage of justice, in respect to two of them
  9. She can't. Paris Hilton, Britley Spears, GBG, etc etc etc Saves on the laundry bill, I s'pose eeee Mr Snakey people will talk Don't worry, we've all seen him, we won't.
  10. She can't. Paris Hilton, Britley Spears, GBG, etc etc etc Saves on the laundry bill, I s'pose eeee Mr Snakey people will talk They already are!!! They've seen your pic in the Geordie version of Hello, Aaaaalreeeet, when you dragged yourself out of a taxi doon the quayside in your micro skirt!
  11. You don't see the problem in halting contract negotiations on the back of one match? Maybe Portly Freddie has smelled (is there such a word as smelt?) the coffee and has stopped all negotiations to take stock. Shepherd might have asked Rodders if he thinks we can climb the league to qualify for next year's intertwobob and, just like Ardiles did all those years ago, he just shrugged his shoulders in resoponse. If so, all contract payments will have to be re-thought due to finances coming into the club. Yes, we have the big SKY money, but that can't be all spent on player's wages can it ?? Just a thought.

  13. Agreed. The problem is that there is just not enough money in the pot for everything that is required to do, and people don't want to be taxed any more as the majority are living beyond their means and need as much money in their pocket as possible. I would love to vote Liberal - as they are the only ones who state they will tax us more to pay for NHS etc - but I just can't stand the sight of them!!!! As Sweet sang, '...haven't got a clue WHAAAT to do!' regarding my vote.

  16. Was he diabetic? Aye. Was he insulin dependent though? looks like it But if he was 'shaky' he wouldn't be bothering to test his blood sugar - he would be doing something about it, shirley ?? I never, ever, believe any cricket result involving India or Pakistan. I don't think Woolmer was murdered, though, so I'm not implying the Pakistan results had anything to do with things. Well tbf if your going to jab yourself full of insulin its probably better to check whether you having an hyper or hypo before hand Unless he just wanted to finish himself off! I bow to your greater knowledge. I was just thinking of me daughter who never has to inject inuslin when she's shaky, or test her blood sugar.
  17. I can still remember walking into the rugby club with me mates and the price of a pint of Tetleys had gone up to 30p!!! Showin' me age when was that? I don't ever remember a pint going up 30p due to tax maybe you actually had to BUY one for once??? The clue's in the order of the words Rob. I feel quite sprightly when Rob's around. Stoopid auld fool
  18. Spooky! I was only thinking about him last night. (not in a romantic way, you baffoons, but that I was always 'him' when we were playing football in the school yard) As for Romario's 1000 goals, we would never be able to tell who was telling the truth so I guess we should just give him credit - he is, after all, about as old as Rob W so he should have scored a canny few.
