  1. saw preview of Appleby on local news before the weekend. theyve actually built a ply funneling system on the slipway so they can get the horses into the river quicker where they then punch them in the face .
  2. your guys took one helluva - - - - ? is Riberry morphing into Gary Neville or is it other way round btw ?
  3. 2-4-1 deal on a reverse labotomy gonna be serialised in Hello alongside his wife pouring her heart out how she sacrificed her ankle hair to save their relationship
  4. . . if anyone happens to speak to Jack Dee anytime soon, would they mind asking him if it's high time he wiped his fuckin arse and moved on from the twisty-bracket routine please ? ta
  5. "Nick, are you Sven's agent?" He might be Tight Grip though ?
  6. aye, Dillon definately became a bit of a scapegoat n probs shot his head confidence-wise ? Frank Pingel became a prospect that went same way (albeit he actually WAS wholly poor in his role) Every time he was set t shoot used t be a mumble of 'here w gan - 3 t wigan' in reference to his ability to put the ball into an uncannily accurae tragectory towards the top of the scoreboard .
  7. There's always been the odd detested player. My mate almost goes purple faced when you mention a keeper called Steve Hardwick! (Just before my time). Mark 'Jason Donovan' Stimson was my first real loathed player that I remember off hand. Was Kevin Dillon for me, initially it was cos he a mackem captaining theb toon, but then I realised he was also the slowest shittest player I'd ever seen. There was a saying round Newcastle for a while "you're a right Dillon you" and am sure it was inspired by his shiteness. it could've been in reference to his specific form of rickets that would've rendered him useless at catching a chicken in a hallway , or their woeful finishing ability . My vote in the personally detested (Owen romps it so is excluded) goes t the bong-eyed greasy tragedy of a unit Marcelino , with a latter-day Babayaro pushing for pole .
  8. . . Don't let the bastards grind y down Chrimbo . Keep ya chins up son .
  9. . . well, without wanting t put the mokkaz on it, i would hereby quote Bobby Ball in proclaiming "you'll do fa me Tommy" edit - twangin me braces all the more at the understanding and link-ups with Cabaye (No. 7) in there too like !
  10. anyone that's seen him play a few times - what kind of player is this kid anyway ? comparable to . . ?
  11. i'd get straight tonto me solicitor
  12. the depth he's achieving during the fisting interlude, especially combined with the animated hand's a bit of a worry like .
  13. aye - he'd be a canny scalp like I'm sorry, but he's not apache on Gervinho. im hearing y Chrimbo - not as many strings to his bow . So if he does sign you wont Comancheer teepee honest - no .
  14. sat with a leeds fan in their end when we played them under Gullit . solano 0-1 i think . only funny thing about leeds was "y can stick ya sexy football up yer arse" . i never uttered a word all game - really hateful bunch of apes . pre match some kid sparked an older fella for mistakenly standing at his seat . they were fighting amongst themselves in burger queue n allsorts . went off by the buses , mounted police, coaches bricked . proper knuckle scrapers .
  15. wouldn't shed a tear if he got peddled (as long as replacement brought in etc etc). to some extent club shot itself in the foot awarding a 5 year gig . obviously thinks he's 'made it' as a result and taken what little desire and motivation the prick (n)ever had . kk was a great player (and by his own admission) not out of pure natural talent but more as a result of application. training on top of training on top of training. this prick's more interested in limping about with his jeans hanging off his arse . fuck'm off .
  16. not a huge hurdle t overcome just put it down to phonetics Geordie
  17. . . was looking for his cardboard appearance in that torrid Quorn burgers advert from years ago and came across this (no pun intended) . . oh dear doctor
  18. aye - he'd be a canny scalp like I'm sorry, but he's not apache on Gervinho. im hearing y Chrimbo - not as many strings to his bow .
  19. know what you mean, and i know youre very tech savvy and giving a balanced view. just my experiences of their stuff (while performance and build etc were good) it was the increasingly pervaisive way they have y by the mcfauls in that have to use their software, and the limitations thereof ? great marketing and business sense obviously, but i think people can choose them as a 'brand for life' sometimes and can miss out on the freedoms of rivals ? From a design pov Apple are fantastic, bordering on design fetish actually, but when y've got things like Stephen Fry posting vids of himself unpackaging his 'i was first in the queue for it' iPad or whatever it shows what a good job theyre doing marketing-wise and how bought in consumers can be to a brand . n that .
  20. aye - he'd be a canny scalp like
  21. aye, I only ever met two blokes from Nottingham, one was during the time they were winning the European Cup and was a right pain in the arse glory seeker, the other about 10 years ago was a right moaning twat who never went to a single game in all the years I worked with him. ha sounds about right mate ! impression i got was Forest has a lot of 'sleeper fans' in that they vaguely follow the club's footballing fortunes (perhaps due to their previous successes) but when y engage them with anything much beyond said footballing topic theyre kinda flummoxed !? without knowing the finite population stats attendances arent fantastic either given size of the city. lots of families with nort-east decent there too from the mining heritage. one of the directors where i worked with was an older head and a proper fan (actually lived next door t Pearce as it goes too) and used t tell great tales of European awaydays. he always went to watch his lad playing sunday juniors and said how often felt like an outsider as loads of the dads would attend wearing town or sunln tops - our lot along one touchline, and the tramps the other .
  22. I lived in Nottingham for a fair few years that included end of his Forest reign and used to go to few games here n there and got to know some Forest lads so got a bit of an affinity with the 'Tricky Trees' . Was always canny although they can border on being one of the moaniest sets of fans ive known .
  23. didnt the Clough family distance themselves from the film too ? been meaning to see it for ages, the prog after should be good value like
  24. in the interview video on previous page is it attempting a Jason King bangers n mash or has it been giving itself a 'dirty sanchez' ?
