  1. If you think we're gonna sign young players and have them here for 4-5 years and build the team around them youre fucking stupid. If they're good they'll be sold within 2 season, if theyre shyte (Perch,Guthrie etc) we'll be stuck with them Some people need to think long and hard about the future they see for us tbh
  2. Nah, The captaincy will be passed around Krul, Lua Lua, Ferguson, Cabaye and any other player we get linked with and who is rumoured to be anything around the decentish tag Imagine if that happened, CT would drown in his own jizz
  3. Tiote To add a few million onto his pricetag
  4. Amazing that some people are sanctioning the sale, absolutely unbelievable I wonder if they'll still be sanctioning the sales of Jonas/Barton/Enrique/Colo/Tiote and the likes because it'll free up some wages, but totally be blind of what the repurcussions will be in the future
  5. An absolute shambolic, discgraceful decision, people going on as though you can pluck 12 goal midfielders out of anywhere for knock down prices FFS Pardew has absolutely no spine at all, if this was any other club in the Premiership the manager would walk, not one manager with any self-respect would have players being sold without their say and having the board build a team what they think is gonna do well and not the manger We shouldnt be selling anyone when we've just received £35 million, and people going on about oh £5 million good business, like shyte is it, we dont need that money when we've received the Carroll money, our squad is paper thin, and needs to be built on not dismantled which is going to happen Our core players are gonna be wondering what they hell they are doing here, when the captain of the team is being sold
  6. One of Brighton's wingers has just went to Norwich, Lua Lua will probably be his replacement
  7. Apart from this season haven't PSG struggled somewhat over the past few year?
  8. Shone for Brum last season and looks a decent player, but we don't need anymore CM's unless it's a DM Possible replacement for Nolan IF he goes?? Unless it's instead of a buy in another area of need, isn't it "the more the merrier" from a squad depth perspective ? I do expect it'll be to cover "outgoing" though. I don't see us going for him if we have no CM outgoings like, and nor should we get rid of any CM's (Just Smith) But he's a good player and I wouldn't mind seeing him here if we did happen to unfotunately get shot of someone Can't he put in a shift at RB as well ?? (Don't know a huge amount about him tbh) would be an upgrade on Raylor or Guthrie though I reckon. I think he filled in at right back because Villa had no other options at the time like, and he'd be a big upgrade on Raylor/Guthrie but theyre nothing more than squad players and i don't think we'll spend a good few million for a player to do a squad role, only if as you say it is to replace an outgoing first team midfielder

  11. What's his goals record like for Turkey? Or does he even get in their team? I've heard of him for the past couple years he gets linked with quite a few clubs, but either it's bull journalism or no one fancies taking the risk I'm sure i seen before that PSG bought him for 9 Million Euro's so i'd imagine they'd want to recoup all/most of that and they know we were willing to pay double figures for Gameiro, so i wouldnt expect a cheapy deal to be done
  12. I'd be more willing to take a punt on him, he gets goals whenever he plays Howay man, be positive n aal that
  13. Do we have to be one or the other like? Surely theres a happy medium, I refuse to be an 'ite' of either of those to idiots. A poll would sort this little conundrum out
  14. Who else they going to blame. They've offered him a new contract to stay, theres only Enrique to blame if he goes. (And fair enough if he wants to play CL football) Should still make his mind up one way or the other so a replacement can be acted on. With regard to Barton its already public knowledge that he has cooked his own goose by having too many things to say against the board whether that be statements to the press or talk-ins. The blokes a fool on that score. Not really, he'll be waiting to see if the clubs ambition matches his and to see what the contract situation really is like regarding other players, most likely As that twat Adrian Durham said the other night (and for the first time ever, I agreed with him): "I'm sick of hearing about players talking about clubs matching their ambition, what that really means is: I want more money". Aye but being the best LB in the Prem surely deserves a better wage? If it doesnt were asking for Bigger clubs to come in for him I the club matching his ambition as him getting a better wage and the club showing they are wanting to push on, by buying beter players and giving our core/best players contracts

  16. I wouldn't see it as being paid off yet, in 12 month time i think we'll see the truer extent of the Carroll deal and whether it was good or not
  17. Some would say the last two were exceptionally good. Last summer brought us Tiote and Ben Arfa while most agreed the January business was very shrewd leaving us in this strong position to rebuild that we are now in. I think the majority agreed that the Carroll money was to good to refuse. Theres a poll by Stevie on it. That deal has left us in a very strong position this window. But it didn't leave us in a strong position last window, thats the point And it remains to be seen whether that strong position for this window will be taken advantage of
