  1. Haven't seen enough of Gosling but the other two are never DMs in a million years. I think Reo-Coker has lost interest in football like. Was a canny player a few years back. Your correct. None of them are defensive midfielders nore did i say they were. They are box to bos midfielder and could do a job if needed. Wasnt it you alex a while back who didnt agree with the idea of one def mid and one att mid? I'm not a fan of the modern obsession for one. Especially if you have a 4-4-2 it's better to have two box-to-box midfielders. In the way we set up though when everyone is fit, Tiote clearly has more defensive responsibilities than whoever partners him. It just so happens he covers that much ground he helps out all over the pitch. Barton is better going forward and doesn't have the engine, physicality or discipline to play this role (before anyone points to Tiote's yellow/red cards that's not the sort of discipline I'm on about - I mean knowing when to hold your position etc). Nolan has never been a box-to-box midfielder so I'm surprised at that comment. With that in mind I'd agree with those saying Reo-Coker would be better cover for Tiote than what we currently have. I think the Nolan/Tiote partnership works very well, it means that Nolan can do alot more and get into positions in and around the oppositions back four knowing that Tiote will always be behind him keeping his shape and protecting the defence
  2. Aye thats the way im looking at it, I don't rate him highly but I'd much rather having Reo-Coker filling in midfield in Tiote's absence than Smith plus he'd be a cheaper option if we get Smith off our books
  3. Reo-Coker's an actual defensive mid and would be for free and wouldnt take much in wages And if either of those 3 players played defensive midfield we'd be shagged, theyre all offensive minded players and would have little to no influence on the games when playing there
  4. I don't see us spending anything more than £6 million on any one player, apart from Carlton friggin Cole
  5. It opens July 1st and Reo Coker wouldnt be a bad signing but i'd only get him if we let Smith go which hopefully will happens so we've got a replacement too, who can come in for Tiote when he gets all his suspensions next season And how anyone can look forward to this summer is beyond me, it's going to be absolutely shambolic IMO
  6. Wouldnt be surprised to see us go in for Robbie Keane unfortunately and Reo-Coker with him being a free agent at Villa, plus Pardew's already worked with him
  7. It looks like a shirt that would be on Pro Evolution Soccer 3 when they didnt have the rights to Premiership teams and we were called Tyneside I dont see why they couldnt do what Craig did and put two more white stripes on, that looked lush
  8. Tiote doing his best stokoe impression
  9. He would have been 18 I think as it happened last year and i was in the same year at school as him and cheers for the PM, i just got finished reading it and was about to post the lads age on here so you knew
  10. Well this lad had him as a friend through facebook, must have been through one of the NUFC fan pages on Facebook but i'm not quite sure, but the other members of the site warned him that he was a bit "weird" but he didnt think anything of it and whenever the lad would write a status, this Paul Robbins character would write some comment about sex and pointless blabber, it was totally unnecessary, which whenever i looked at the comment i would be thinking "WTF, why whould anyone write that, it's embarrasing" and he kept doing it a few more times, until the lad deleted him, and then the wrong'un posted numerous times on his lasses wall asking why he'd been deleted and other unnecessary gash
  11. Someone PM me please aswell He used to post some rank awful crap on this lads facebook wall i know, then he got deleted and started writing on the lads lasses wall, he is a proper wrong'un
  12. What about David Goodwillie who plays for Dundee Utd, like Hooper he's been banging in the goals for the past couple years and won young player of the year twice in 2 years and is still only 22, might be an option to bulk up the squad and would only cost £2 million max, but obviously we need 2 more proven strikers ahead of him IMO
  13. We're going to get over-dramatisized prices anyway because clubs already know we have £35 million, you speak as if others football boards will have been in hibernation for 6 month until this summer
  14. Strikers = Oscar Cardozo, and Maybe Stephen Fletcher from Wolves he seems to have a canny scoring record whenever he starts games Midfielders = Larsson, Kranjcar/Gervinho/ Jarvis Defenders = Samba, a RB (cant think of any) These are with all the £35 million being spent and none of Enrique/Barton leaving
  15. I't would only be a good deal if every penny was to be re-invested. It wont, so its not a good deal. Exactly, any other board would have made it a good deal, under Ashley it is a bad deal IMO But say we do start operating at a profit, do you really see Ashley putting that money into the team when he wont even spend most of the £35 million which he got for selling a player which cost nothing? I don't
  16. £35 million is an amazing sum.........But only if we had any other board in the premiership. It's rediculous that we're not even going to spend hardly half of the money we got for Carroll, any other board in the Prem would back their manager and strive to take the club forward (Like Liverpool did), but not this one, Ashley doesnt have to dip into his money to spend this summer yet he still wont, he'd prefer to gamble on our Premier League safety again for the 3rd time than put that money in and sustain our Premier League status and help us push on.
  17. I think yesterday proves we need two, YES TWO, strikers, none of these shitty championship strikers either who bang them in, in the Championship, but two strikers who have a decent pedigree, have played in a good standard league and score goals and loads of them, we've been fortunate that we've gotten to this many points since Carroll left after Ashley yet again gambled on our Premiership safety in January just this time it seems to paid off. We also need two strikers because Ben Arfa is not going to be fit for 38+ games next season so we need someone to fill his place or give us a Plan B, when Plan A isn' working, just like yesterday. The striker's we have are no more than back-up strikers who come in for a few games a season when players are injured or suspended, nothing more, if Ameobi played for another Premiership team and we were linked with signing him thered be hell on cos he's that shit, but most fans see past his shitness because he plays for our team unfortunately and stand by him and hold out hope he will eventually bang them in. If we'd have had a decent striker on the pitch who was Premiership standard we'd have equalised or at least tested Reina a few times in the last 20 minutes of the first half, but we didnt because out strikers are ballsack
  18. I don't think he is the player he was when he was first at City but he'd still improve our squad and would do a good job for us, but I dont think he'd come to us anyway with his wages being so high and i think he's late 20's aswell
  19. I think Kranjcar would walk into any team below the top 5 and if we want to push on we need to sign players like him, we dont need to sign back-up players we need to sign players who can go straight into the first team or challenge the first team so players don't get too comfy and their form starts to drop because they know they havent got anyone to rival their position. Another one who i think we should try and get is SWP
  20. Worth a look if he's happy to play in a wider position. ...and if Spurs miss out on a Champions League spot they'll absolutely have to shed some of their midfielders. He looks like he'd be one of the first to go. Aye i think that where he predominintely plays out wide and we havent got much for our wide areas once we get an injury to either Barton or Gutierrez, plus he'd push the first team hard and we know whenever he'd play he wouldnt be a liability and is a proven Premier League player, and he's in his mid twenties too But im sure ive seen a few quotes and that coming out that he'll leave if he's not given first team oppurtunities, something that he'd get here and not at Tottenham I want to see Cardozo from Benfica here aswell, a good Target man and has good technique too with a great goalscoring record
  21. I'd like to see us throw in a bid for Kranjcar, he wants to leave Spurs and can play across the Midfield and behind a striker, he would be a canny good signing i reckon without breaking the bank
  22. Theyre not knacked or nowt, its just with is having the one day contact lenses in for a few days at a time my eyes werent getting as much oxygen as they should, so the red veins on my eyes a bigger than usual and the whites of my eyes are a touch darker than they should be, plus it doesnt help that ive got a blood disorder cos my body kills off most of me red blood cells cos theyre a dodgy shape, but im a little trooper
  23. Get in, alot of people underestimate what he brings to the team apart from his goals, he's been absolutely phenomenal these past couple year and has been an even better captain IMO
