  1. Those four would get into our 1st imo I wouldn't have Larsson either fwiw I only put Larsson in there because he's a free transfer at the end of the season, so he would be a good addition for nowt, i wouldnt take him though if we had to pay for him like While i think Adam is a damn good player, i wouldnt have him in ahead of Nolan or Tiote so i wouldn't see where he'd fit in, they bring so much to our team that i dont think we need a player who would get into alot of first teams in the top half of the table, on our bench, i just don't see who he'd replace N'Zogbia too i think is a quality player but as proven in his last stint here doesnt have the attitude that would help us and would merely want to fuck off whenever a whisper comes around that a 'bigger club' is interested, if he didnt have the attitude he has i'd have him straight back here Rodallega for me is to hitty-missy he sometimes looks as though he's got something and other times he looks twatful, we'd be best off looking somewhere else And I think Johnson is the better CB out of him and Dann, so i'd prefer to have him here than Dann, but if it did come down to it, there are better options elsewhere if we do indeed go looking for a CB
  2. This weekend we'll see 2 teams getting relegated adding to West Hams already certain relegation, and of the teams that look like they could go down there seems to be quite a few decent players banding about who would become available for cheaper prices and in some cases improve our squad and there's quite a few who i wouldnt mind to see play for us. The players i think who we should at least look at signing are (depending really if they go down) Ba Fletcher Jarvis Larsson Samba Hoilett There are some other players but, either i dont think we need them or i wouldnt see them getting in the First Team or sign someone better are Foster, Johnson, Dann, Gardner, Green, Upson, Diame, McCarthy, N'Zogbia, Rodallega, P Robinson, Santa Cruz, Olsson, Doyle, Adam Just wondering whether you's think we should maybe try a few bids for some of the better players and if they'd help us push on or not?
  3. That's what I heard. Thought it was confirmed too. Aye Leeds away has been confirmed, 31st of July
  4. It'll probably have that end of season, nothing to play for feel about it, it'll not be a great spectacle and probably a 1-1 will come of it as WBA are certainly no pushovers
  5. I don't. I think he's a twat. IIRC Leazes thinks he'll be acting the twat sooner or later too. I'm sure others are concerned about his mercenary strerak. I've no doubt he will like but that'll be because a bigger club will probably come in for him Hopefully. I've not really understood the Ben Arfa spunkathon so far. He's appeared in 4 games and we lost 3 of them....and he's had a nasty injury. EDIT: I don't mean I hope to sell him ASAP. I mean hopefully he performs well enough to interest other teams. He fits into both sides of the pessimist / optimist argumental cycle on here though. For the former he's potentially a bright light amongst all the darkness and for the latter he's a symbol of how the club's new transfer policy is serving us well I agree he's done nowt like. I also reckon he views us as a stepping stone / route into the PL and nothing more. Thats the way i see him, i dont see him yet as an almighty player who is one of the top players in the division like others do, but i think we all know that he may have been if he'd have stayed fit and alot will hinge on whether he can live up to his high standards when he does return I also believe too that we are a stepping stone to him to bigger things at the moment, but i think if we do show ambition he would happily stay with us
  6. Not just that incident. He refused to train in Germany to force his move to West Ham. Ben Arfa done that and everyone loves him here? I don't. I think he's a twat. IIRC Leazes thinks he'll be acting the twat sooner or later too. I'm sure others are concerned about his mercenary strerak. I've no doubt he will like but that'll be because a bigger club will probably come in for him and wont see us as progressing the way in which we really should be, and in that case i wouldnt blame him for acting a twat Edit: Long has never been prolific and this is his only season when hes actually scored a fair amount of goals, he even said at the start of the season that he set himself a 10 goal target, he'd be a woeful Premiership striker IMO
  7. Not just that incident. He refused to train in Germany to force his move to West Ham. Ben Arfa done that and everyone loves him here? I'd definitely take Fletcher here, whenever he starts he seems to get goals and he did the same in a poorer Burnley side, so he's a definite improvement on Ameobi and anything else we've got, and Ba seems to pick up the goals too i'd take him here aswell
  8. It's amazing how Graham Carr has suddenly became a miracle worker, I bet before Ben Arfa and Tiote were signed many people wouldnt have known that he was at the club or even heard of him
  9. Surely Ashley wouldnt be so stupid to sell Tiote for £15 Million, Wilson friggin Palacios cost £16 million. With his stock being so high as it is at the moment and him being on a 6 year contract that has to push is price up to the mid twenties to thirty price range. Not that i'd welcome it like, we should be telling clubs to bugger off bidding on our players. I would think Gameiro's price would be as you's say nearer the £15 million mark, as they managed to get £10 million from Arsenal for Koscielny and Arsenal were the only club interested in him, and i think there'll be more than a few clubs sniffing round Gameiro too
  10. Zurab Khizanishvili and his unremarkable spell for us at the start of last season
  11. Who'll be the happier fans when Birmingham get relegated on Sunday, and Man U are giving a lap of honour with their 19th title? Eh Nick?
  12. Fucking BAH! If this is our away strip, we have the mingingest combination of strips in Premier League history
  13. Sears aint pushed on like he should have in these past couple years since he burst onto the scene, he's had a few stints at Championship clubs and done nowt, it'd be best to just leave him alone i reckon
  14. Thing is though the players who are considered as potentially Premier League quality will already have been scouted by other clubs, so it'll be hard for us to get them to us without alerting other clubs to their availability, which will inevitably bump up their pricetags, so the likes of Gameiro, Sissoko, Matuidi will be being courted by other clubs
  15. Thats cos he'd been there and done it though, he'd proved for Chelsea and Blackburn he was a good Prem player but for us he never got near that level, so he was a good cheap option for a bit of experience. But the likes of Jonas, Colo and Enrique, they didnt have a good time that season and never shone, Nolan didn't look up to scratch neither in those 6 months he had with us, Barton was considered a ticking timebomb, Ryan Taylor was shyte, no one really wanted to pay over the odds for an unproven player in Carroll at that time, Ameobi was balls back then too. So i think if a decent offer for any of them had been received i think they'd have been away, theyre was probably a few enquiries but nothing solid or anything that matched their pricetags, which was something that was done with the likes of Martins, Bassong, Beye etc
  16. Just thinking but this Summer really is going to be massive for us and the future and the precendents we set for the coming seasons, as say we dont spend anywhere near the £35 million mark with the money from the Carroll transfer, what will we do with the profits we are scheduled to make in the next seasons were will all that go, surely they should go into building the team? But if the transfer budget we supposedly has doesnt get spent, I dont see the profits we make being put to good use neither
  17. I think keeping our best players in that window was because no one wanted to touch them, if an offer came in for any of them they'd have been shipped out
  18. Kevin Gameiro Seems to be alot of teams being linked with him and has a good scoring record, but would be near the £10 million mark if he was to move anywhere I'd definitely take him here, but I'm not holding me breathe, especially with us going to fork out that amount on Carlton Cole
  19. The running total on occasional gems is two. The pressure is to find them again this year and every year after. If it was easy everybody would do it. Just because Graham Carr hit the jackpot last summer does't guarantee he'll do it again. Remind me how many first team games Vuckic, Ferguson and LuaLua have played for us. There combined goals & assists must be, oooh, none isn't it? These gems you see only come around so often, we arent going to be signing them left, right and centre you know, every club try's to do it every season buying players for a few million and i'd say about 1 in every 10 - 15 turn out to be a Tiote, so we can't be pinning our hopes on picking them up this summer, it's just narrowmindedness if you think it's going to happen I'd rather see Vuckic, Lua Lua etc on loan in the championship than occasionally sitting on our bench and getting reserve games tbh
  20. Gonna watch Catch me if you can on Sky Modern Greats, always fancied watching this but never got round to it, anyone know if it will be a let down or not?
  21. Pretty pissed off, went out in Morpeth last night and managed to spend 40 odd quid and was still sober I divn't kna why we didn't go out in Ash, I can get off me tatties on 30 quid and grind milfs to me hearts content
  22. He's been top notch this past few games like But if he did go he'd be a massive miss, about 60-70% of our attacking play goes down the left and it would be hard to replace him and we'll have to come up with another game plan, but saying that we'll have to anyway with Enrique leaving
  23. Now this is twatful, hopefully Stoke will win the bugger now
