  1. If you can get away with spending all of it on non-essentials, fair enough. I don't know, I guess I was less privileged/lived away from home so had to spend a fair bit of it on essentials. Any left over+any savings I had however did indeed go on alcohol, drugs, games and I even wasted some of it on going to watch Lincoln City. I don't recall going on internet forums bragging about it mind. And I think my darkest hour was buying Tesco value pot noodles, I wouldn't even wish that on Kevin. How much of a shithole is Sincil Bank by the way? The away end is a death I wouldn't wish on tesco value pot noodles It wasn't that bad really - I've been to Boston United's ground, now that is bad. Sincil Bank was great because it's in such close proximity to the city, I lived right near it so had no excuses not to catch a few games. Shame they're not a league side at the moment because it was occasionally good entertainment. Thing about York Street... when I went there Grimsby won 6-0 so it only has good memories for me, the problem with Sincil Bank is the shit loads of unnecessary stands, and the local fans are so pretentious about their little city and the place has no atmosphere, they're like Scunthorpe, shit fans that are an embarrassment to their teams.
  2. Kasabian-Velociraptor! :nufc: :nufc: :nufc:

  4. By the way my loan was meant to come today and still aint come . I'm gonna spend it wisely I might add, mostly on accommodation, food, drink and Kasabian tickets, so don't worry i'm not going ott like most students
  5. Why? They'll all shit. Except NFL is alright. Oh, and don't you fucking dare mention the EDL when quoting me. In your opinion. I also like cricket and football, the two most English sports around, so I don't get the problem? I like a lot of sports, I just happen to not really like rugby union (league is okay), Sorry about the second one, possibly a bit too far, I just presumed you was a racist, especially the way you always go about hating the native Canadians for not holding upto tradition :\.
  6. I take your £1250 and raise it £1700 . Oh the perks of being brought up poor.
  7. Congrats man! You find out today? Yeah well this is my 700th post so I totally have more reason to celebrate than you
  8. I'll keep that in mind, any words you recommend me using to stop this happening?
  9. Are you married Welsh!? How long have you been with this woman.
  10. Sorry to hear that mate. Personally, I fucking hate dogs and think they're just the most boring, ugly, pathetic pet in the world (i'm a cat person though ) but it's never great to hear of someone losing a pet like :\
  11. Aye well i'm sure you know what you're doing then, i'm a student who's never done a single days real work in my life so I can't say anything haha.
  12. Hmm thats hardly anything! You trying to find a job? What sort of thing you interested in? If you're really stuck to the point of wanting a huge loan it's probably best to look for anything you can get tbh
  13. So what's your situation if you don't mind me asking? You on the Dole or get like special benefits or what?
  14. I do. Depending on where you want to stay/plan transportation, you could get a relatively cheap hotel rate, and given that MSP is still sort of a hub for Delta, there are plenty of flights. With Southwest now flying into MSP, rates are down a bit, although air travel rates in general are soaring. Booking well in advance, I'm guessing going from Gatwick to MSP you could probably get a round trip flight with a stop for less than $1000 US. (A quick Expedia search gave me a round trip for $700.) There's pretty good public transport to the Vikings, Gophers, Wolves and Twins stadia, but the Wild's is a little tougher. Doable, but less ideal. Hotels could run you anywhere from $40-120 per night depending on where and how nice a place you want. It certainly could be done very cheaply. Time the trip well and you ought to be able to see the Twins, Gopher (american) football and the Vikings, or the Vikings, Wild and Wolves. If you make it a summer trip, I'll take you to a US division 2 soccer game, and you'll get to experience the jackassery of 30-40 "real" football fans in a stadium of around 2,500 people looking at us like we're mad. Feel free to PM me if you want delve into real details of scheduling/planning etc. PS: Here's me with Captain Altman (I painted the banner) Thanks a lot mate, real helpful! I'm only looking into it now but I was considering next August at the tail end of the preseason, so its easier to get Vikes tickets (hopefully McNabb will have gone by then and the dream of a Ponder-Peterson matchup can come through ) , then I can see Twins too and if I stay long enough maybe the first game at TCF Bank Stadium. If I do i'd to come see the Stars too!
  15. How not? I'm not Jewish or Israeli or anything, i've made my view based purely on what i've seen of the situation, besides, like I said, i'd be happy for the situation to be sorted out any way possible, it's just in the biased eyes of the world the Arabs will get more than they deserve.
  16. Not really, I can just appreciate another culture without screaming "WE DIDN'T INVENT THAT SPORT/THING SO I DON'T LIKE IT". I just really like American sports, I also like Italian food but it doesn't mean I have a green, white and red tricolour themed bedroom design. Oh and what if I liked tea? Would that make me English despite the fact it's actually from China/India. Also, I have no idea who the fuck Bronco out of AWP is. But you know, whatever, i'll pretend to be all EDL and think "Britan shud b aboot British"
  17. You live in Minnesota Zathras!? I'm a Vikings/Gophers/Twins/T'wolves/ Wild fan and want to come over to see the Vikings, know how cheap it'd be for me to get a flight plus hotel and shit?
  18. I suppose you could argue it was one when it was a British Mandate which wasn't that long ago. In any case, Israel (in its current incarnation) is a modern invention, rather than being based on a previously existing country. I don't think the fact that a country hasn't existed before is, necessarily, an argument against its existence now or in the future though. Yes, but the Jews are a mostly homogenous race, hence the stereotypes that people have which are surprisingly true a lot of the time, and that race originates from todays Israel. You've heard of being anti-Semitic? That means hating the Jews right? the Semites were people that lived in what is Israel, Arabia etc, and always had done, until the Muslims came and took over. Historically, it's their homeland, and the Muslims came much later, the thing is, there is no such thing as a Palestinian people, and that's why it shouldn't be given sovereignty over Levantine lands. Getting into who was there first is no real basis for deciding who should live where in the modern world anyway. Historically, it's both their homelands because they've both been there for many generations. Arguing there is no such thing as a Palestinian people ignores the current reality. I wasn't arguing against a Jewish homeland btw but it shouldn't be at the expense of the Muslims (and Christians) who also share that land. I don't have the answers or claim to have them, I just don't agree with your argument. Yes, and there's heaps of Muslim nations, and 1 Jewish nation, which obviously should be built around Jerusalem. They're using Palestine as a way of completely defeating Israel, which has many Christians ans Muslims living happily within its borders, and takes care of the injured Palestinians who come to its hospitals etc. Propaganda is making Israel look evil, it's not perfect, and there's two sides to a story, some of the treatment of the "Palestinian" people are awful, but then the way they treat the Israeli's is awful too, the point is, two wrongs don't make a right, and no side of this is perfect When you say 'Jewish homeland' where are you getting that? The bible? "Ther original Jews were semetic tribes with a wide diaspora incorporating ancient Mesapotamia, parts of what is now Egypt, Iraq and Jordan. Their faith was pretty much 'mysticism' and they had trading links to Asia minor. They were often caravan bound and had strong trading and tribal traditons. They 'arrived' in Jerusalem 14thC B.C. (inhabted at the time by the Canannites, Hittities and Philistines)and were given a beating by the Philistines." Aye you're right, but the point is they've been based around "that area" for so long, and Jerusalem means more to them than any other religion, maybe on a par with Christianity, so you can understand my meaning. Look, don't see me as some wanker who's prejudicing against Muslims or Arabs etc etc, I just don't think they're handling the situation rightly, if there is to be a Palestinian homeland so be it, I just don't know why many are trying to claim Jerusalem. In the best of situations, how would you work it?
  19. Mark likes Israel, I'm Palestine. Makes it much more interesting if you pick sides. Why don't they ever show the good things that happen in the day? Oh yeah, I guess the news should just be a constant list of everything that takes place everywhere, except that'd take FOREVER!
  20. Bet he's joined the Young Conservatives. Since when have I supported the Conservatives?
  21. Oui, me too, it's clear i'm not gonna budge my stance on the issue, it's clear Park Life won't either, it's also clear that noone else gives a shit and bickering between Newcastle United fans won't change anything... and it's basically becoming transparent.

  23. They can all fuck off to Syria apparently, they're all the same anyway. Well, they are the same, in that they're the same peoples! I was trying to get some facts to back me up online and well Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said: The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan. So what's the difference between Palestine and Jordan? Very little, they see themselves as Arab, not Palestinian.
