  1. "Since 2007, the England team have donated all of their match fees to charity, raising more than £1 million in the process."
  2. Aye they're much closer than British parties, even with New Labour, but I think they're going to polarize, the way the Tea Party's dragging the Republicans out further right, the Democrats will either follow them or occupy a more left ground, the way the public protest/hates politics over there at the moment, it's not viable for either of them to keep centre-right
  3. Why do the republicans remind you of Nazi's any more than the democrats? Neither REALLY remind me of the Nazi's, the point is, in modern politics (especially US) everyone decides to either compare the other side to Nazi's or Communists, there's no middle ground, and because the Republicans have the Tea Party, which is so right wing it's insane.
  4. You don't get paid for playing for England, and to be honest it's surprising to see any of em show spirit
  5. I just don't get American politics at times. Like that singer who's a Republican supporter who compared Hitler to Obama... this coming from the same people who think caring about ANY social reform makes Obama like Stalin. Now I hate people who do that entire "Hitler or Stalin" comparision but the Republicans themselves remind me of some of the Nazi's policies (obviously without the holocaust etc etc), insanely strong military and mis-use of the international community to get what they want whilst using propaganda (FOX News counts imo because it's just vitriolic spew) to make everyone think they're right, and that Communism/Social Reform is evil and any Liberal thinking is just done by hippies, idiots and people who hate the country. It's almost as if they want the rest of the world to think they're wankers.
  6. It's the fake passion that gets to me. "OH AND THATS A NICE FINISH BY...AMEOBI" while pretending to get all excited
  7. I'd disagree with the above, i've had tonnes of laptops, they always fuck up somehow or another after like 6 months, and from people who have had macs, macs are so consistent, as are most of their other products, plus every new update to the software means your macbook is fresh and great to use. You pay more but get a longer life.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ienZj9onV0Q&feature=related No idea how to get a video on this new TT, but this had me almost in tears I was laughing that much for the first 2 minutes of it
  9. During the Euro Qualifiers England's average attendance was 16 thousand higher than the next best (France), I just don't get people who think that England is so badly supported and that the entire nation isn't behind them. "Gone are the days of Alan Shearer as England captain too". I don't get this bit more than anything, like the England captain has to play for Newcastle or Newcastle fans are gonna switch off? There's plenty of teams that have fuck all representing them from any national team nevermind England and you don't see them kicking a fuss about it, i'd rather have no Newcastle players playing for England than a Newcastle player who doesn't deserve to be in the team in the team as a token so the "Geordie Nation" can "froth at the mouth". I actually thought Barton should have been called up last year too. Lee Ryder, what a fucking imbecile.
  10. Brother was playing 5 a side last week, some old lad (40ish I think) collapsed on the spot... ended up dying
  11. I wonder if the media will say the Rugby team is "A disgrace to the nation" and that they "Don't care about England" because they got knocked out in the Quarters or if that's just the Football team
  12. Don't really know if that's a compliment or not him being dubbed like that . But from the FM Demo... I know I know it's one step away from being DEADMAN, but he's fucking ace on it for a 16 year old, we either have a hit on our hands or a real-life equivalent of To Madeira
  13. Was basically a reserve Cup. Tottenham and Arsenal have had these types of crowds for league games man. No one has had less shite gates given our history over the last 40 years than Newcastle United. It's amazing how out of town fans buy in to talksport myths, fuckin idiot. Half the people who support this club genuinely have no idea at all about our history, the culture, or the history of the pain and suffering and magnificence of the crowds we've had given what we've had to put up with for over half a century. I'm not doubting any of that, although I reckon Man United have had "less shite", when they were in Division 2 they still had the biggest crowds in England, I fucking hate Man United too, and not being born on Tyneside I naturally know fuck all about football, and always listen to Talksport because of that. Showing a surprise towards a low crowd absolutely solidifies your view Well that just shows you haven't got a clue, Man Utd's crowds were often 22 and 23000 in the Fergie era they all wanted him gone 86-89. Anyway so what they are THE club who have a bigger national fanbase than us and THE only club with a bigger local fanbase, purely because of Munich and their status in the 60's. Like I say I wouldn't support a club I had fuck all understanding about, our attendances generally given our circumstances are unparalleled anywhere in world football, anyone with an understanding of NUFC would understand that. I suppose it's the globalisation of football in general. Here's one to tell your Liverpool/Grimsby/T'Leeds/T'Blades/Yoonaatid supporting pals. There's one club in WORLD football who since 1992 have NEVER had a league gate under 30,000. Ask them who they are. WORLD football. Okay, sure, if you say so, however one Champions League/good spell wasn't going to make them as well supported as they were, even pre Fergie they were one of the best supported clubs in the world. I guess that's Newcastle? I don't know, I don't live in Tyneside so I know nothing about football , so what was Barcelonas lowest post-92 home attendance? I'll go tell my friends, although I must admit that I don't live in Yorkshire, never have done and know no Leeds/Sheffield United/ even Hull fans.

  15. Fuck me 7000? I knew we had some shite attendances in the past but wow
  16. All Craig's answers are right apart from number 8. Bogie's first goal was against Shrewsbury in the Simod Cup, Dina got a last minute winner, and I remember it cos it was the lowest crowd I've ever been part of at SJP, was in the Paddock with me dad they were building the Milburn behind and it fuckin pissed it doon. what was the attendance?
  17. Think it's rubbish I usually love Kasabian but the new album isn't doing it for me yet. Maybe i'm a fanboy who'd love it if Serge took a shit on a plate and sold it off as music, but this is my second favourite album after West Ryder.
  18. The problem with it is that not all his moneys guaranteed etc, like there was an Oakland Raider called Jamarcus Russell, one of the best prospects out of college(picked number 1 first round), was given in insanely good contract, turned out he couldnt handle to pro game and had his contract terminated after a few years I think he only ended up getting like $40 million of his $60 million contract. Also, with the drafts, I love them personally, really helps keep things even, and make sure its not just the same team winning every year, sort of thing that wouldn't work at all in football, but our system wouldn't work over there, it's just nice to have each sport with a differing system. Aye Bradford is guaranteed $50m of it, I like the draft system in all shittest team gets the highest pick and all but it only works over here because you can't get relegated like back home. Russell was a nightmare turned up to training camp after 4 woeful seasons weighing over 300lbs that's the one downside of the draft I guess, you have to pay the best prospects mental money with no guarantee they'll be able to handle it. And look at Brady! I love the way the scouts have to check not only the best but the ones that'd fit into the pro-game better, like Tebow not going higher up in 2010 despite being arguably the best NCAA QB of all time. In America the entire relegation really wouldn't work so I like the way they do it, but imagine how bad it'd be if England used a similar system :'). "And 1st pick, out of the University of Loughborough Lions... Striker Wayne Rooney"
  19. 1. Playing Fifa 12 Live Season (Just beat the Mackems 3-1... Ryan Taylors form goes up loads but his free kicks isnt a stat that went up :S) 2. Got an 18" pizza on the way for £6.99 3. Just read a book about the Fall of Constantinople (Why did Constantinople get the works? That's nobodies business but the Turks) 4. My phone is utter shite and won't charge 5. I've ran out of clean pairs of socks

  21. Totally, but Americans still think he's some sort of Messi for some bizarre reason, I guess Henrys eclipsed him as their main go to guy now... Or maybe Robbie Keane
  22. Latest South Park was amazing , nothing does social satire better, although I don't like to group things based on nationality, I usually much prefer English comedy to American, but South Park beats most English comedy around now (Peep Show exempt, naturally).
