  2. I don't think this is true really, most of the people who love English football love our system, and something like this always gets made up about every month to remind the league of the "dangers" of foreign ownership. It's just not gonna happen, it'd be like 17 Englishmen buying NFL teams, and on a whim deciding that they should have an NFL-1 and an NFL-2 with direct promotion/relegation.
  3. Thought I'd put this in here, though it's an actual disgrace. Some old man standing in a City end where everyone seems to stand, "Police and Stewards" decide to single him out...

Remember England v Argentina and watching Grimsby win twice at Wembley on TV (LDV Vans Trophy and what is now the League 1 playoff final). Been to a play off final and a Football League Trophy in person since, lost both
  5. You're unequivocally wrong, but that's ok, you're young. You're anecdotal evidence of "people" thinking Carrick is better than anyone in the Newcastle squad means either a) you're making shit up, or 2) the people you've spoken to are stupid, so stupid I wouldn't trust them with scissors/ I believe that Hernandez would get the same praise as, say, Cabaye if he were in a different team, lower down the league. I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows. I've met loads of people who think similarly, and Carrick gets a load of praise in the media, and its always that same sort of bullshit "Put in a shift", "Played his socks off". Hernandez, Carrick, Fletcher, Barry etc. Theres a lot of players who get over-rated based on who they play for, and those 4 players are the main culprits. None of those players are bad per se, but there's heaps of players in other teams that are under-rated at the same time. For every Carrick there's a Dempsey etc etc etc I like that idiom mind.
  6. My point about Bolton wasn't that he wouldn't score as many, that's obvious, what I meant was, let's say he would score 10 in 20 at Bolton and 15 in 20 at Man U, I personally think it's a similar achievement, but the media would in no way lick his arse in the same way as they did before, therefore he's over-rated, and i've met a whole load of Man United fans dropping the World Class bomb. I know a lot of people who think the likes of Carrick are better than anyone in the Newcastle squad, and have no real evidence other than the teams they play for. I never see Hernandez in games other than when he pops up to score, I know that's his point, but i've never warmed to that sort of player. I would much prefer having a player who scores less but contributes more to the general play, and these players are always thought of as shit. Look at Emile Heskey (not that i'm comparing the two at the minute), he's under-rated because his game isn't just about scoring, and people take the piss out of him forgetting that he's still one of the Premier Leagues highest goal-scorers and an array of England strikers said he helped them play better. Hernandez is just what Manchester United need, having Rooney to do the dirty work, but it doesn't disguise the fact that he's vastly over-rated by the media because of who he plays for.
  7. ? Who mentioned Carrick? I think you don't have a clue. Your next post will make it clear The Carrick thing is relevant to the faux-quote I said after. I don't think Carrick's a good player but apparently he "puts in a shift" because he plays for Manchester United. Similarly I think Hernandez is over-rated, and if he was playing in Bolton and not banging em in as regularly he'd have absolutely nowhere near the same amount of meck outs going on as if he's World Class, as opposed to just having good timing. Playing alongside Rooney and Man U's midfield (Carrick exempt) gives you a lot of chances, and yes his positioning is good, and yes he can apply a finish, and yes he scores a lot in the Gold Cup against the likes of Nicaragua for Mexico, still don't think he's as good as most people meck out.
  8. Nonsense, not right? Let me guess, Carrick is amazing too? "Oh he plays for Manchester United he must be great" Nerhhhh, most of his goals end up being from deflections anyway. Fuck me, Hernandez is overrated
  9. Okay, I presume you acknowledged my being right mind, unless you agree that Hernandez has parts of his game other than a finish...
  10. We don't have the squad to make him look good. The sort of tap-in merchant like him is only good in a team like Man United where his positioning gets him heaps of chances What are you wittering on about? He's scored a goal every 2 games since he arrived at the club, a fair few being in the champions league. A goal is a goal, whether it's a tap in or a 30yard raker. If it was that easy we would all just goal hanging Meh. You're right, and have made it so I've no reasonable response /translation from American I don't get the second half of your post

  12. It's a very good point though, you want a right chest beater for an anthem imo. Contrast GSTQ to the Welsh anthem-not a rugby fan to speak of but when you hear them belt that out it pisses on anyone elses for me. France's is class too. Ones like Canada's, France's and Russia's are the best imo. I've never been able to see Canada sing it at a major tournament or any sporting event like, but I can imagine it'd be a brilliant one, USA's too. There's a different class, and England and Spain just lag behind completely.
  13. Is her age the reason she got less of a punishment than him? Or is it the fact she's a woman

  15. Oh yay, more excuses for Man U fans to meck out Hernandez is world class again

  18. To pass the ball to a player making a late run into the box, just as the keeper is about to close the player with the ball down, thus making it almost impossible to miss. and jewish.
  19. Obviously, I mean i'm not comparing it to actually going outside and kicking a ball, but it's much closer than Fifa, it went shit in 09/10 but the new one sounds ace and I preferred Pes 11 to Fifa 11, I dunno i'm just hoping this ones just as good. (PS The Jew goal is harder to do on PES, which saves me getting angry online)
  20. Get Obertan and Raylor out and we have a chance, don't do and we may luckily scrape a draw playing shit... fer a change
  21. Old, and just stretches a bunch of already unfunny cliches, something like this has the potential to be good but is just dump. If anything moan more about the fact they say "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less", that I have time for.
  22. Meh, it's so easy to download and change stuff for that, the names and kits can end up perfect, that's not the problem, I just usually prefer PES because it feels more like real football. El Grande Patch PES 2010 Trailer Plus if they make something like that for this years PES...
  23. People with PS3's add NUFCHardie, need to batter some new faces on Fifa, already bored mind, thinking of trading it in and seeing how cheap I could get PES, i'll probably not in the end but still
