1. I think we will go down this season and have felt that for weeks not enough steel in the side to grind out results so many players went missing last night. It will go right to the death at the top and the bottom this season and I don't think McClaren has the ability to motivate the side when the going gets tough too many false dawns followed by awful performances.
2. Tough away game against a side who are unpredictable, going for a 2-1 Everton.
3. I'm afraid it will go right to the wire!! 7 points from a possible 9 is a very good return but it has only enabled us to rise to 4th from bottom, the transfer window will be crucial and no way can they get more players in with no EPL experience can they??!!
4. I hope we don't let anyone go of note and bring in 2 or 3 more. Like the look of Mitrovic has a bit of everything, hopefully he will be a success. Centre half's need addressing Williamson is not up to standard and Coloccini is on the wane.
5. Seriously hope this is the hacks trying to conjure up a story! In the position we are in (started in January last season) we need an experienced premiership manager that can steady the boat and keep us in the league.
6. I fear we will be playing in the local derby a lot quicker than some would of hoped for!
7. Shearer was brilliant and if it had not been for the injuries in his career (Knee, broken leg, ankle) he would of set the bar even higher the fact that as mentioned he had to change his game and still scored goals speaks volumes! Having said all that when Torres sits back and counts his medals!!!
8. A naturally left footed left back would be a start!
9. Nowt wrong with it! Just prefer to do my own thing and have done for more years than I can remember. I love all the sorting flights, car, accommodation, you can fly on days that suit you more and for as many days as you like. But the big thing is that you feel like you are travelling and it takes me back to my backpacking days 30 years ago!!
10. Dr Gloom I would take a look at Halkidiki, but not the first peninsula Kassandra which is where the package holiday companies go but the second peninsula Sithonia. Fantastic beaches no English to speak of and you can fly into Thessaloniki which is served by Easyjet, B.A (Gatwick) & Ryanair (Stansted). We have been a couple of times and if you are a beach lover it takes some beating!!
11. Egremeni Lefkada Katsiki Beach
12. Here's a picture of Egremeni beach on Lefkada.
13. I will keep an eye out for the wave!! Oh and the fireworks!
14. Hi Dr Gloom I have been to all 3, the one I liked the best was Lefkada which is reachable by a small causeway the beaches are fantastic and not commercial a car is a must to get the best out of the island. Kefalonia is also very nice with excellent beaches Skala being particularly nice, Fiscardo is a lovely harbour with lot of yachts coming and going and lovely tavernas around the harbour, if you opt for Lefkada you can get the ferry over to Fiscardo and spend the day there well worth a visit. Zakynthos was many years ago and I think this has been changed over the years and is probably the most commercial of the 3 islands that you have mentioned.
15. Flying to Milan 31st July, picking up car then off to Stresa for 2 nights on Lake Maggiore, then Levanto on the Tuscan coast, up to Barga then Florence and finally a week in a cottage in Maremma national park. So looking forward to this!!!
16. Some good news at last in what has been a miserable summer as far as NUFC are concerned.
17. 1. Chelsea 2. Man Utd 3. Tottenham 4. Arsenal 5. Man City 6. Liverpool 7. Everton 8. West Ham 9. Swansea 10. Newcastle United 11. Southampton 12. Aston Villa 13. WBA 14. Sunderland 15. Norwich 16. Fulham 17. Stoke 18. Cardiff 19. Hull 20. Palace FA Cup: Tottenham League Cup: Man Utd Champions League: Bayern Munich Europa League: Tottenham A 10th finish is an improvement on last season and the powers that be will see it this way to justify the Kinnear appointment.
18. I don't think I have ever felt this disillusioned in my 40 odd years of following NUFC, its not band wagon jumping as Kinnear would like to believe it's a case of not seeing any logic or forethought in this situation what so ever. Llambias resigning is probably the lesser of many evils that have occurred over the last few days, Pardew appears to be on borrowed time, Graham Carr must be weighing up the situation and IMO will probably jump ship in the next month or so (he will be snapped up by another club) Any player thinking of coming here (and we need at least 5 new signings) will be thinking twice about coming to a club that look like they have very little idea of what direction they are going in, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Cisse will be looking elsewhere partly to do with the goings on over the last few days and the terrible decision IMO of having Wonga as our main sponsor. Gutted, embarrassed, angry, helpless!! Certainly seen better times!!
19. I fear this might be the final straw for many, manager, players, staff and more importantly the FANS! Ashley relies on the fact that the fans will support the club no matter what this will test that belief to the limit.
