Other Games 21/22: Talk about Actual Football

I don't disagree, I'd love for the rule to favour attackers more but do you not then just transpose the problem back a foot or so? Now the rules have to quibble over a toe or whatever, if you change it to daylight, does less than a toes worth of daylight count? The problem with the spirit of the rules is that the teams lost that concept decades ago, they can't afford to have spirit anymore and the rules and officials are the same. It's impossible to be "sort of" offside, the way the rule is written you're either on or your off and it doesn't (and shouldnt?) matter by how much, its a yes or no without a maybe. -
It was until omicron, govt decided a few months ago that the old strategy couldnt work for it so it is out and about now, know a few people whove had it at this point.

Mrs A has tested positive this evening, so thats us isolating for a week.

It seems like he used his time after Bournemouth to become a better manager and we're reaping the rewards of that now. Have a lot of burnley supporting friends who have no good memories of him for obvious reasons but even they admit he seems very different for us

This is a waste of time, wed do better seeing if he likes anyone

Sa has given away that penalty three times this season though, its all on him, he rushes out and there is no way our coaching team haven't been drilling that into our forwards this last week. If he doesn't rush, Woods touch is different, given where the foul happened he absolutely had the time and the angle to have a decent shot. If that was woods touch without Sa flying in then it would be absolutely laughable. Anywhere else on the pitch and no one is batting an eyelid at that being a foul. Wood definitely does the "forgetting how to stand up" thing when contact is coming flying in but we all know full well you don't get the foul if you don't do that, it just ends up being a goal kick or a corner. https://streamwo.com/v/29ynwp1n As for idealism... https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=859988331348142 https://theathletic.com/3182586/2022/03/15/trying-to-explain-the-nonsensical-decision-not-to-award-newcastle-a-penalty-against-chelsea/ idgaf about idealism

Pure agent talk, we've not been linked to him at all since the takeover and now that Milan are after him "oh...yeah well...Newcastle want him to and they're well rich so we're going to need a little more on that wage packet and signing fee you know?"

Its great getting to watch him be a striker now rather than being ronaldos servant, he is so so good. -

The number of players closing Foden down as he makes that pass man... -
Elon Musk has bought a 9% stake to become twitters biggest shareholder. So thats twitter absolutely fucked as a platform.

Similar over here in comparison to the UK at least, people, especially the generation slightly older than myself and upwards are definitely less bothered about it. Policing wise they do actually set up checkpoints on major holidays and things where you're stopped and beathalysed. Honestly though the standard of driving (especially in christchurch) is fucking dogshit anyway, not a day goes by where I don't see someone do something illegal/mental/downright dangerous if I drive anywhere further than 5 minutes.

I reckon not getting asked to join the Athletic when they started up wounded his pride so much that he's never recovered. If I remember rightly him and Caulkin used to be good mates, back and forth on twitter etc. quite often but then Caulkin hired Chris Waugh to be the Newcastle correspondent. Caulkin and Waugh now get to spend their days writing loads of articles about Newcastle seemingly without a huge amount of editorial oversight and Luke is still at the telegraph covering a club/sport/region he appears to openly hate nowadays and constantly sniping at every other journalist he can. -
pssst, different poster

Safari let me on just fine, Chrome was an absolute dick about it and made actually fixing the problem a total pain in the arse.

I don't really mind either way at this point, we'll get decent money for him sure but I also expect our new owners to reinvest properly unlike the last lot, so if he goes he goes and we'll get someone else.

Apologies, I think we should be good now.

He could easily report on the draw from home, it'll be on tv. What worthwhile insight is he going to get out in the sun or from his lovely hotel room on company dollar...oh right. -

We are apparently looking at Thomas Strakosha from Lazio in the GK position. His contract is up in summer.

Curious to see how thats a blow rather than no change and it's only March. From what the Athletic and Pod on the tyne have said about Ashworths intended role here, transfers aren't necessarily his purview anyway, he'd be more of an overall sporting director making everything at the club work to pull in the same direction rather than just who we buy. Based on what we did in January I've no qualms about that same group of people managing our summer transfers anyway.
