The lads absolutely deluded, thinks he is world class and wants his pay to match that at Barcelona despite the fact he is constantly injured and hasn't managed to post double figures for goals or assists in a season since signing for them five years ago. You'd have to get some agreement from howe to do it, outwardly they've got very different philosophies but you never know it could work. Problem you'd have is the media would NEVER leave it alone. Any bad result would have them touting howe to go and rafa to become manager and that would wear thin very quickly for both I imagine.

Why 8? Watford have only won 4 so far this season and only have two more points than us, based on the first half of the season the points total to stay up is going to be really low. I know it doesn't necessarily work so symetrically but realistically for us to need 8 more wins to stay up, at least one of burnley, norwich or watford would also need a massive turn up in results

An alternative take. We are 3 points off safety now, if burnley beat watford we are still 3 points from safety, any other result takes safety us further away.

Pod on the Tyne is the best one I've found, and the only one I've stuck with as a regular listener since trying heaps of them when the takeover went through. Taylors a good host and Waugh and Caulkin in particular are very good journalists who understand whats going on in the game and the club. They're some of the more...considered burnley fans you'd be likely to meet as well. Realistically wood has been their most consistent goal threat for several years and its no coincidence that he has struggled when the team have struggled. they create fuck all in the way of decent chances for him, so of course he isnt scoring

The verdict from the Burnley fans I know this morning is that they're livid at the release clause being so low and quite sure that this absolutely condemns them to relegation. This is a smart signing for us.
