  1. Did you get it for Martin and the fish's next big day oot? Actually don't worry about it as martin's not into cunt and Dave's all a bit too sexually ambiguous. Actually, I get the impression that Fish would take whatever he can get. Male, female, gay, straight, pulse, no pulse. Beggars can't be choosers after all...
  2. Wow, I have a piece of info for all of you. First time for everything. Anyway, with Fraser Forster's loaning out to Stockport County, apparently the whole thing was organised through Dennis Wise. A friend of mine in Manchester has close ties to County and he claims that the management of the club called Dennis Wise on a London number to sort it out. I know it's nothing earth shattering, but I guess it proves that the club is being run from the other end of the country.
  3. Drugs, because the media demonises them more. How often on the news or in the papers are there stories on drugs and their evils as compared to prostitutes? Or maybe it's my laidback Aussie attitude seeing as we have a brothel listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Planet_(property_trust)
  4. I don't know what it is, but for some reason my brain seems to think they're the same guy. It's something I've only just noticed because it only just occured to me that one was in Hamburg and the other South Shields. I mean no offence by it, but can you two explain why I keep thinking you're the same? I also keep thinking Fish and Meenzer are the same too because of the overwhelming homosexuality but that's entirely different. Does anyone else confuse people on here or am I the only idiot?

    Barcelona

I liked the train station best about Barcelona, because it took me away from there. I didn't really like it. I don't know what is was. Maybe the general grottiness of Las Ramblas, the American college students everywhere when I was there or the fact that speaking Spanish was obviously a crime against their Catalan ways, but I enjoyed Madrid a hell of a lot more than Barcelona.

    House share

I've done it since moving to the UK and had some ups and downs. Like Mr Shy said, there are some ruthless landlords out there. I lived somewhere in Portsmouth where the bitch rented out the lounge as a bedroom three days after the rest of us moved in. She suckered us good and proper. Where I'm living now is ok, but it's with four other guys and we don't really have a lot in common. It's not nasty but we all live like it's a hotel and keep in our rooms and just share the facilities. But on the other hand I've lived in a few great places and made a lot of great friends by house sharing. My advice, try and meet the people you're going to be living with. If they seem weird when first meeting them, or if they seem clingy, don't take it because it'll only get worse. If the landlord acts shady or you think he's covering something up they are and you're best moving on. Make sure you have a few different places lined up and don't let anyone pressure you into taking somewhere. See them all, take your time. Don't believe them when they say you need to hurry because x number of others are interested. Good luck, and best of all you'll get some awesome stories out of it. I once lived with a guy that had thumping noises coming from his room at 2am for a week straight. When we went to question him we knocked on his door and he told us to wait a minute. Five full minutes later he answers wearing nothing but a towel and denied all knowledge of the sound of the apocalypse coming from his room every night for a week. And that's a tame story.

    gutted...

At the risk of sounding like an internet hardlad, the only cure for the last one is the next one. I feel for you, I really do. But give yourself time. Do you really want stay with her where she's not happy which in turn would make you unhappy? Do whatever it is that makes you happy, spend time with your son, and try not to get bitter about the bitch. And, in time, you will move on. Then again I've never been married, nor have I been in a relationship longer than a couple of years and lately can't get past the three week mark without getting bored of the girl so what do I know?
  8. Really enjoying the new series of The Sarah Connor Chronicles so far, but I am a huge fan of the Terminator movies and it really does follow on nicely. Fringe is good and I'm enjoying it but I'm not completely hooked. And Heroes is an improvement on series two but that's not saying much. There are a few things I get on DVD like The Shield, Lost and Prison Break but I've still not got the most recent series of those.
  9. FYP. Sadly, you're absolutely right. Places like Australia and South America and going to end up big losers in all of this because Asia will do whatever it takes to get their hands on a piece of the pie. Even Britain is going to lose out, let's forget about 'traditional' races where the fanbase has been entrenched for generations to hand the races to countries with brand new, and completely sterile tracks just because the FIA is all about the cash. Britain has produced world champions, Australia has too, but fuck that, let's hand the races to Singapore, or China, or India because they'll do whatever it takes to increase the bank accounts of everyone involved. But now we're getting into outsourcing territory so maybe I should stop.

    Ice-Cream

Ice cream makes me shit. Badly. Funny how beer doesn't anymore. I don't get it.
  11. I am having Devon flashbacks and can't stop the overwhelming nausea. I am sorry for your loss though t00nraider.

    Mobile Broadband

A friend of mine is on 3 and finds it quite good, but the best on the market is supposedly Vodafone. But, just to be the voice of reason and not to stir shit because I bet you could beat the shit out of me, how about just, you know, being patient and getting off the internet for a while?
  13. Fuck Singapore's night race. Just because they've bowed to the FIA's pressure to have a race that is on during the day for Europe means that Melbourne is struggling to hold onto their race. Surely part of the appeal of F1 is that it takes place all over the world? Aw, poor Europe has to get up early to watch a race. How about in countries like Australia where a race doesn't usually begin until 11pm at night? By forcing Melbourne to hold their race at night or they'll lose it will mean that it's obvious that they don't give a shit about anyone other than Europe. Fuck them.
  14. That is the most pretentious top 10 list ever posted in the history of the internet.
  15. The Dark Knight should be way, WAY higher. I'm thinking like number 1.
  16. He did a decent job with us way back when, never got us to the World Cup though.
  17. Back in the old days what you guys are doing used to be called a shagfest and you'd be told to get a room. So, go on. No one here will judge.

    Fringe

I've only seen the first episode with the next one lined up but I have to say I really enjoyed it. To start with it seemed a little too hooray America with the agency bullshit, but as it went on the almost plausible but over the top science made it for me. It was retarded, but done well, unlike something like Bones where it just makes me angry. I'm going to watch the second episode right now and will be continuing on.
  22. So, this was in this morning's gossip column, but wasn't the retarded Kenny Dalglish bit. A Nigerian businessman says he is leading a bid to buy Newcastle United. "The consortium has raised £350m," said the chief executive of NVA Management Chris Nathaniel. (The Times) Am I the only one that thinks that they do have the money, they just need Mike Ashley's bank details? They probably sent him a very official sounding email requesting his help in moving the money out of Nigeria. I for one have complete confidence in these businessmen.
