He wants to win league titles and Champions League titles and with the disparity in the Premiership, that's not going to happen with us. The league titles over the last 18 years have gone to Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea, with Man City joining the party after spending the best part of half a billion quid. Unless he joins one of those clubs, there's no chance of winning trophies in England. I don't think he's talking about a one off League Cup win.

We did 5 nights in Venice in November. Nowt like real Italy, it's just wall to wall tourism and price fixing. For somewhere with so much history and cultural significance, it really lacks any sort of heartbeat. We ended up getting the train out to Verona for a day, which is an infinitely nicer place. They don't say that specifically, but how do you draw the line? How hard does he have to move his head towards another player's to be deemed worthy of violent conduct and therefore a red? It's not as if this is the first soft headbutt we've seen given a straight red. Remy knew the crack and should have just backed away.

I reckon his value would be unlikely to increase if he sulked his way through the remainder of the season. It's also not too healthy to have players sat on the bench watching a player start who doesn't even want to be here. All this is hypothetical though, who knows?

Had we signed him first, PSG would have dropped their offer for Cabaye and we'd be left with a cash shortfall. We'd then either have to sell Cabaye for less or keep a wantaway player.

There used to be an incentive to commit when tickets were so hard to get hold of. But now, its piss easy to buy them match by match, and much more flexible. I ditched my ST this year and have missed about 4 games - enough to make it more economical.

No need to have a season ticket - just buy individual tickets. If you're away one weekend or have other plans on a Wednesday evening, then you're not trying to sell your ticket for a cut price.
