  1. Had enough very good chances to be completely clear of them.
  2. I adored Jonas. He's one of my favourite players of the last 5 years. But if his contract is as its rumoured to be, and we havr a chance to get his salary off our bill, it makes sense to say goodbye.
  3. As I said earlier, players aren't legally allowed to dicuss their contract terms.
  4. Poor lad probably didn't sleep a wink last night.
  5. I too would rather have Ba and Carroll than Cisse and Gouffran. However, selling Carroll funded the improvements elsewhere. I can't really argue against selling him for £35m.
  6. Or Jonas knows full well, but isn't legally allowed to disclose his contract terms...
  7. Ah, you're right, forgot about that one. They have tended to involve one quite low profile player as a bit of a makeweight in a bigger deal. I don't know whether De Jong and Cisse are too similar in terms of profile.
  8. That said, I think investigating the situation is the right thing to do, as there is so much speculation and assumption going on.
  9. It's not a good story for anyone concerned. The key bit is, "It is not known whether the woman had notified Sports Direct management of her pregnancy, or if any appropriate action was taken by the firm." If she's a bit of a heifer already and hasn't told anyone she was pregnant, wtf are the firm meant to do about it?
  10. Swap deal = bollocks. They always get talked about by the media but never happen. But time and time again, the fans in general lap it up.
  11. Matchday revenue is separate from commercial. But still, I'm almost certain Sunderland's figure is even worse than ours.
  12. It is? I thought we had around double their commercial revenue, despite them holding several gigs there?
  13. Let's say I did worry. What do I do about it? Stop going to the match and take up another hobby? That's probably what I'll do sooner or later, but for now it holds just enough interest. Football is broken and stinks from the top down.
  14. Not about Kinnear specifically, just in general. There are times when the typical Newcastle fan has been completely and utterly out of touch with reality it's embarrassing.
  15. This isn't being a football fan though, is it? It's reading story after story of fabrication and invention. At least when you're watching the match, you know what's really happening. Every season, fans are completely taken in by the transfer window, getting upset and riled by rumours from taxi drivers, blokes at work and in the know message board posters. And 99% of it is complete and utter bollocks.
  16. That's entirely my view. Pointless getting worked up about something you have absolutely no control over. Screaming at the telly during the match however, is different, as I'm sure they can hear my mumbled, "THAT WAS A SHIT THROW IN" abuse.
  17. Of course, the most likely explanation is that someone snatched her, abused her, killed her and disposed of the body. The chances are she'll never be found. There's absolutely no logic in the parents making it so deliberately public if they had accidentally killed her.
