And on top of that, why take a financial hit too? They absolutely better have a good replacement lined up. So it's just two strikers, a RB, and now another CB that we need...
-
Why create yet another position which we'll need to fill again? Why persist with Taylor and Williamson, and a past it Colo, but not him?

Remy Cabella - signs from Montpellier

Agreed, Tom. If - a big if - he's supported well in the window then he'll have no excuses going into the season. He's got to be on thin ice. As much as I want Pardew out, if we have a solid start to the season then I'll just get on and enjoy it even if it's just delaying the inevitable sacking. Life is too short. -

Sammy hasn't. He's probably get one chance left to prove his worth though. -

Not if Goal.com said it.

But Ken said Aussies aren't (fairly often at least) racist?

... who has said or even implied that?

Haven't we already bought 3 players?

Shamrock Rovers?

So much for £8m fee agreed.
-
There aren't that many clubs that aren't selling clubs, then.
-
Except in this situation the player himself is (unsurprisingly) desperate to leave. No, we don't have to sell him, but he wants to see out his peak years at a club playing Champions League football and competing for trophies. Hard to stand in his way, or to want to keep a player whose heart isn't really in it. Not sure that makes us a selling club. We didn't sell Cabaye after the first bid or two, did we?

29 in less than a month. £11-12m for him would be decent.
-
I was on about the fee. I know he's off.

They've got plenty wrong before, IIRC.
