I like the people who ring football phone ins and go "season ticket holder for 30 years" like that obviously makes their opinions more valid. The amount of absolute backwards mongs at any match shouting slogans from their Sunday league adventures as a fat child is mental. Usually the same people who shout shoot at Tiote and get inexplicably worked up and shout at the ref, he best change his decision mind, cos they have had a season ticket for years.

First game was 91, I was 7 and went with neighbours who were season ticket holders. My old man was a rugby fan so these neighbours are the reason I support Newcastle. Can't even remember who it was against. Last home game was Stoke around xmas a couple of years ago (Cabaye freekick was the winner I think). Probably not even 100 games in total due to living all over the place. Only went to the City cup game last year, sat in the home end but that was only cos I had just moved within walking distance of the City ground.

Aye sorted. Had a bollock out, had two doses of chemo. Seems I am clean as whistle. Just had a check up a couple of weeks ago, had to pretend to do a pull up while they took xrays. Just glad they didn't ask me to actually do a pull up.. Got asked if I wanted a prosthetic knacker putting in. Nah thanks, the aesthetics of my ballsack is way below my enjoyment of being drugged and cut open.

I have watched them all. I like the main guy, but it can be a bit cheesy. The actual technical stuff regarding computers is accurate mind, so it doesn't wind me up like other "hacking" tv/movies.

Aye I packed in January 1st this year after 10 year. Found out I had cancer in March.. Fucking class. Best bit about it all was, I went for my consultation and they told me I had cancer, they did a ECG and blood tests and all that jazz. They told me my blood pressure was a bit high. Aye probably cos you have just told me I have cancer.. Had to wear one of them monitors for a day and it was fine.

This is the classic forum issue. I am not trying to change your opinion or get you to agree with me. I am stating my point of view. I think there are issues with our midfield, Colback wouldn't be in my team if everyone is fit and playing well. If you do then that is fine. In the game against Southampton, we played a 3. Anita at the base, Colback in the middle and Wijnaldum as the most advanced. In that position I would like a better player... I don't think this is a big issue? Again, this doesn't mean I think Colback is the biggest issue in the team..

You and everyone else here know it isn't wilfully. I grew up in Boro and have lived in Africa, Spain, Leeds, London and Manchester, if will had anything to do with it I would support someone else. Shola played ~ 300 games for us (including subs), in 14 years. Colback played ~40 last season. I'm sorry if you think this is OK. I am not going to change my mind on him as a player, he should not be starting for the (not sure on this) 16th best supported/richest club in Europe. Not going to apologise for having higher expectations for my 1st choice central midfielder.

Aye there is 11 eleven shirts to support, I prefer to support players who are good rather than wishing cloggers were better than they are. Nice that you enjoyed the atmosphere, must have been electric. Seriously though I have no problem with Colback being at the club*, he is an average lower prem midfielder. I would keep him and play him when there were injuries or suspensions, I wouldn't have him starting for us ~35 times last season. * Disclaimer that this doesn't mean I think he is the biggest issue at the club, or I don't want a new centre back, or that I don't think he caused AIDS. These are separate issues. I just think we can do better.

Aye Williamson is shite. Nobody said anything else? They are mutually exclusive though, just because Williamson is cack doesn't mean I can't want a better player than Colback in midfield. Also the fact he tries his best is neither here nor there, I could try my hardest in central midfield but would I get a game? Nah cos I'm shit..

I am not pulling him to pieces like. I would say I have never seen him be great in any games. I also said I would keep him as a backup, but he wouldn't start if I was manager and he shouldn't be starting for a team as big as us. We have had better midfielders in the team with Mike Ashley as owner...

What I mean is Colback's level is below a better player's level. At his level he gives a 6 out of 10, which is acceptable. A better player gives a 6 out of 10 where he actually influences a game, because he is a better player. Yeah this is boring. Colback is bang average and shouldn't be first choice, but he isn't a major problem.

I have posted my views on Colback before, he does offer a 6/7 out of 10 every game, but they are a Colback 6/7 out of 10 not a Cabaye 6/7 out of 10. Would keep him as a squad player. Think we are done regarding player recruitment for now as we seem to be struggling to get rid of any of the squad filler. Might be wrong mind.

Thought Haidara was left isolated a lot by Obertan which didn't help, but obviously didn't play well. Anita was good playing in his proper position. Thought Sissoko was good as well. Colback offered nowt apart from two last ditch blocks, fair play to him on them though. Decent start and we looked a much better "footballing" side than last season, defence needs work & more signings.
