1. Brrr, I'm so cold, I better wear my extra thick pink thermal underwear.
2. Can someone rename this the "bunch of homs" thread (no offence Meenzer). We're supposed to be geordies ffs!
3. I hope you're proud of yourself 58956 Should be ashamed. Anyway, despite 12 pages of waffle, the facts haven't changed. N-O is still shit and Taylor27 is the worst poster ever. 58961 That comment's gonna take us full circle, I expect an essay some time this evening! 58984 Think this place will still be around by this evening then? I'm gonna change "bringing Newcastle fans back home" to "backup board for Newcastle Online" 58990 Apparently this place is for those who have been thrown off N-O don't you know? 58995 i left of my own accord, couldn't get my head round test talk. this is better tbh imho lol swalk 59025 What's test talk? And swalk?

5. What a surprise SSR has brought this up..... I agree with NJS. There are certainly less female stand ups, especially on TV, but I think they are just as funny as men. If you actually go to live events, like the Hyena cafe in Newcastle, you will probably get to see a genuinely funny female stand up. I think you have to see it live to actually appreciate how hard it is, but certainly, I have witnessed women who make you cross your legs rather than go to the bog and risk getting the piss taken out of you on route.

7. This is the footy forum equivalent of the peoples' front of Judea tbh.
8. Renton, of course I take it seriously, that's just me, I always will and I ain't going to change. If it was fair critcism, or justified, then fair enough but half the crap being spouted about N.O is coming from people who don't even use it, or pop in for a quick read and then make up their mind based on one or two "bollocks" threads or some "daft" comments. FFS it's a forum, you're going to get that on any board, large and small. And you saying to me don't take it seriously, I say the same to you. Why would a few people on a message board you don't use, get on your tits? And why then slag that board and people who use it on another board, if so? Is that not taking things serious? Contradiction there Renton. At least I have a vested interest to justify my overly defensive/serious reposte to all this and a smattering of justification (in my eyes anyway). I just find all these snide remarks kind of snobby, sour grapes even and more than an unfair projection of Newcastle-Online. You'll not read people slagging this place off on our board, or slagging any fellow Toon site, I imagine people have better things to do with their time to over analyse a forum and it's members. (Unlike myself a few posts up regarding this one ) And for what it's worth, Taylor27 actually posts good stuff when not on a wind up/piss take. But then if you were an active member, you'd know that. Lastly, you need to lighten up if what you read on a message board gets on your tits. And yes, I understand the irony in that. PS Longwinded enough for you? 57922 To be honest HTT, the reason I have made my comments is because I do care somewhat about N-O. It's just my opinion, but for some reason I do think it has gone downhill, with the good posters being dragged down by the crap ones. I am perfectly aware of how snobby that sounds, but that's the way I see it - I genuinely think its a disappointing situation. To be fair, some of the comments from Gemmill, Alex, and myself have been a bit snide. I can't talk for others, but as I don't post much on N-O (and not on the Newcastle forum at all), I think I'd be accused of being a bit of a wum if I said what I have on there. This is just one thread in many though, so I don't think anyone on here can exactly be accused of being obsessed with N-O. Regards Taylor 27, well I'm not going to bad mouth him, but he does talk a lot of shit, doesn't he ( irony)? Maybe he's got a very advanced sense of humour, but if that Souness days off thread is anything to go by, it's lost on me.
9. Oh Lordy, I'm expecting a big one from HTT any moment now.....
10. 3 of them were already mods, 4 asked to be mods, and the others write for the main site. 57904 I was just joking, I don't bother much with smilies nowadays (). If you don't mind me saying HTT, I think you're taking it a bit seriously. You know fine well that Alex just likes taking the piss. For the record, I think I am a snob. Some of the posters, the opinions, and the text talk over your way just gets right on my tits to the extent I just can't be arsed with it any more. I recognise this place has its problems too though, not the least the cliquey feel which ironically I didn't like on the original toontastic. The best forum I have ever been on is probably the SMB if I'm honest - it's a shame that in terms of internet message boards we are behind the mackems imo, but there you go.
11. That copyright sign really buggers up that joke. I see Lou's friends were out in force today, being all whacky collecting money for charidee. Children in need night tonight, aka get out of the house at all costs night.
12. No, surely that can't be him? Fucking hell, 42 users on the board and all there is to show for it is a load of bollocks.
13. I think there's some decent posters on their but they're are drowned out by the bairns in general. 57750 All the decent ones have been bribed to stay by being given mod rights tbh.
14. No shit. And anyway, what would you know about it, you lazy stay-at-home bastard! 57727 Here man, I had to go to Kwik Fit to get a new tyre. And as if I didn't need any more proof that you're a mincer, you announce that you can't even change a friggin tyre! I bet when that mouse came out your video you leapt up onto the nearest table too! 57732 Well you would too!
15. No shit. And anyway, what would you know about it, you lazy stay-at-home bastard!
16. How on Earth did N-O get so bad? Why anyone with any sense can be bothered to post on there is beyond me, there is so much blatent shit stated as fact all the time. Painful.
17. Bastards, I've kept meaning to watch this 30 days thing and kept forgetting. Has it been any good? 57541 Naah, not really. The first one, where Spurlock and his fiance had to live on minimum wage, was brilliant - more revealing than Super Size Me I thought. I was under the false impression that he would be doing all of them , but he hasn't. As a result its really no better than wife swap. You missed a lot of scenes of San Francisco yesterday though. Did you ever go to a bar called Daddy's?
18. Keeping on the San Francisco topic, today's 30 days (documentary series with Morgan Spurlock) is about a straight christian living with a gay man from the Castro district of San Francisco. Might be interesting.
19. Fuck off! 57442 Mincey mincey mincer. So during your time in the gay area, er i mean bay area, did you have a dabble with the brown paint? 57455 No I fucking didn't. 57506 Methinks the accountant doth protest too much!
20. I know what you mean, I'm surprised it took someone as long as this to pick me up on it. I just feel that if an English club had a problem with racism like some did 20 years ago they would not be allowed into the league now. For me Celtic and Rangers have a problem of that scale now. It certainly doesn't seem to get the attention it needs to get sorted, maybe people don't shout loudly enough about this divide, God forbid there were Jews or Muslims involved! 55618 Well, for the record, I can see the problems people hae with Celtic/Rangers in the premiership. I speak purely from a selfish point of view in that I would relish the opportunity of going up to Glasgow twice a year rather than London seven times a year. I just think it would spice things up at a time when the premiership has become unbelievably flat and boring. But what about my idea for an anglo-scottish league cup? Would that not make this pointless competition a bit more interesting? I made this point once on a 5-live debate, only for McMenemy of all people to poo poo it, claiming it was too far for London clubs to travel. The wanker. 55621 Is you idea to have all the competitive teams in Scotland and England play in the same cup or just the top league from each ? It sounds quite nice but if you do have all the teams in it, can you imagine a semi-professional team such as Elgin playing against a) someone like Chelsea where the score would quite easily get into double figures someone like Plymouth where there's no particular interest to travel many hundred miles to get beaten ? 55637 I guess it would mean all the leaugue teams from the English and Scottish leagues. But tbh, there's a lot of shit fixtures already, I don't see a problem. 55639 A semi-pro team in the far reaches of the North would have to spend quite a bit of money on travel, hotels and trying to get their players off work to enable them to visit another poor team in the south of England getting very little money in return. These teams know they're not going to get very far in these cups, why would they want to enter ? It might be a better idea to have qualifying sections in each country so that you'd get maybe 6 Scottish teams and 10 English teams in the pot for the round before the quarters ? 55642 Well yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Got to be an improvement on the league cup.

22. They wouldn't be mediocre for long Isegrim. Which to be fair is why most premiership clubs are very resistant to the idea of them joining. It won't happen.
